I was wondering, does Microsoft plan to launch a new version of Office?

Since they are planning on a new version of the operating (Windows Vista), should we expeect (Office Vista)?

The new version is called MS Office 2007. there will be a 60 day trial version begining of december.

Vista is already RTM(relased to manufacture) but wont be available for the public till 30 Jan 2007
Office will be availabe for download starting on the first of Dec 2006.

BTW, do they sell the student edition back in Oman. Personally, I prefer pirated MS Office 2007 Ultimate or whatever they call it now.

i remember buying Visual studio 2003 student edition here in oman. so they should have office 2007 student edition once its released.

Got them, but am not planning to install them any soon. Office 2003 professional is already heavy on the system that I have. I don't think the PC will be able to handle it + I'll wait for the first two patches to be released. :D

Have you noticed? They are seperating MS Access from the normal packages :(

And the prices the have for Access are really prohabitive! :angry:
I use access for manage and organise some stuff for my personal use, why should I pay that big sum. There should be a home liscenese for MS Access too.

u can get it standalone or u can get it in office Professional edition. its the samething with 2003 .. btw nothing changed with the prices..

as for me im not into access .. if i need a program to manage my data i would go for a real database.. oracle express edition (free) :)
