Deadline for submissions is the 23rd.

You can't submit them now because everyone will know that the sunrise picture is yours. The photography poll is anonymous to give everyone a fair chance in wining without people ganging to help their friend win.

I can't accept your submission if it's going to be a sunrise one unless I recieve more than one sunrise picture.

Well, i think you know that loads of members are joining this on daily basis , so nothing wrong with stating the rules of the competition, just like other games n competition .

only borders will be added..and if it doesn't fit the 500 x 300 border size then it could get cropped a bit..I have to make them all in a standard size after all.

So the aspect ratios wont be altered? I currently use an APS-C sensor so the ratio is 3:2. In other words, my shots will be 800x536 instead of the typical 800x600 (4/3" Aspect ratio).

^ I can't promise that. All I want to do is fit it within the borders so that they have a united theme...to trust my judgment or not is up to you in the end.

Thats unfortunate, and the matter is not about your judgment. Its all about having something being presented in the form intended by the artist and not to be altered from someone else by resizing, cropping and adding a border to follow a theme of some sort.

Infact, I think it's vital for the photos to remain in the original aspect ratio since composition is a key element in making a great shot.

i have few ideas in mind, donno what to pick, though i think they arent good ......... :(

hey nabz 500 by 300 stretches the pic ALOT !!! and it looks kinda weird in that size ! =S

it shouldn't be small to get streched..it should be large and then I will resize it (as in make it smaller) to fit 500 x 300. so if it's small to begin with then it's of course going to get messed up and the resolution will be very poor.

the pic looks weird stretched from one side ... its better off squared .. !

^ errr...not again. Girl listen to me..when you take a picture it is usually larger than 500 x 300 so what is all this talk about streching it? :os
