View Full Version : Dates leaked for M$ Virus codenamed Vista launch.
Max Payne 03-11-06, 04:03 AM Microsoft is reportedly (rumors) set to release Vista for businesses on 30 November, and release consumer editions on 30 January. In other words, almost the last possible days for Microsoft to keep its pre-announced schedule.
M$ also released its prices scheme for the different types of Vista, which are like really totally disastrously (please keep filling) prices.
My questions are:
1) Do you expect M$ to gain its fore-casted profits from this belated (3 years) release of its new windows?
2) How soon will you upgrade to Vista from XP or will you wait for a pirated copy to be released before you install it?
3) When do you think, we will have the right to refuse a pre-installation of windows in our new PC systems? We are already paying more than £50 (more like £90 for it. Why aren't we allowed to order a PC with a free Linux then buy our own windows if we want to?
Professor 03-11-06, 04:27 AM 1. Yes .. everyone was against XP at first. PPl said that they are happy with win9x or Win2k then all of a sudden everyone made the jump to XP. samething will happen with vista.
2. Im already running Vista on my PC since beta 2 and im planning on buy it when it gets released.
3. My PC came without an OS.. well it came in pieces.. u should get of ur *** and build ur on pc.

1. All migrated to XP because all were forced to not because they loved it.
2. You are using a beta version. AFAIK, you won't be able to use Vista RC2 release after June 2007.
3. Building a PC is way much expensive than buying ready built one. How can I save money by paying more?

1. Forced !!! how ... i dont think Bill gates visited everyone and held a gun on their heads just to force them into using XP...
2. Im using RC2 and by June 2007 i would have already gotten my hands on the final version of Vista
3. Its cheaper to build it on ur own than buying a branded one. Plus u get to chosse what u want..
Black Lolly 03-11-06, 04:50 AM i didnt understand any word from the title except "virus" !

How shallow is this. I'd say very shallow, except if you are being sarcastic, in that case, I should've ignored you.

Special: M$ stands for MicroSoft.
Vista stands for the new windows from M$ after XP.
Virus is the real name for vista because in reality it's a virus.
M$ will release Vista in the last day of November and the last day of January.
Vista is very expensive.
All PC users are forced to buy Vista.
Do you want any more explanation?
Professor 03-11-06, 05:21 AM ^^ Maybe u should ... since im a vista supporter .. mark my words sooner or later u will be FORCED into using vista :D

I know that I'll be forced to use it that's why I am pissed. I am happy with Linux, I am more than happy with Mac OS X, but until software providers support other OS as much as the support windows, I'll have to stick with windows. I'll try to minimize the use of windows. A good thing is the presence of pirates who provide us with these windows for free + an organization who give you a windows genuine copy for free. :D
DeSerTDesTroYeR 03-11-06, 10:44 AM I don't think the upgrade to Vista, will be fast. Since it demands a very high hardware configuration. And most PCs are not even up to 1/2 of it. It will take at least a year to notice a significant change...
who's interested in windows vista should download the ( Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor RC ) cause it got about 4 kinds of win vista that one of them may suit your pc according to your hardware click here for the link (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeadvisor/default.mspx)
1. they will gain it 4 sure with all the new system in it....;)
2. If i got my hands on it i'll upgrade it without regrets....:)
3. we don't have a choice to refuse as long as no one have released a better thing then microsoft, as you know most programes supported by microsoft and as a user for a computer i need programes that i can find easly and everywhere which is microsoft gives it to the worldwide...... and you have to compare the services that microsoft provides it in Vista with the apple and Linux....;)
NiGhTFaCe 03-11-06, 12:54 PM I think Vista will take more time, if we would compare it to XP.

VB virus hides itself as a McAfee report <-- Much more dangerous than a PROOF OF CONCEPT VIRUS, no?

BTW, no one claimed, Macs are virus free, but an OS with 5-10 viruses per year is nothing compared to M$'s viruses.
