Navigator 28-10-06, 06:01 AM I might get married earlier next yr so if you plz can tell me some good places to go for honeymoon, and it'll be much appreciated if you include some thourough information, i.e type of hotels , weather , tickets ...etc
Thnx in ADVANCE .
Arabian Princess 28-10-06, 06:20 PM Oooooh Mubarak .. who is the lucky one? ;)
Turkey - Weather is cold in winter and great in summer .. I just loved istanbul. You can get good packages .. not sure of the prices now, but they were around 400+ in Emirates few years back including hotels.
Malaysia & Singapore (far east) - Tropical weather all year .. good but very typical .. all couples go to Malaysia. Ticket Price could be around 150-200 .. hotels are not very expensive
Siri Lanka and Maldives - those destination go togther .. I hear good stuff about the place and how amazing it is .. I dont think tickets and hotels are expensive.
Marauitius (mind my spelling), saw pictures .. the place really seems amazing
Its worth exloring other options like Greece, Cyprus, Italy, spain ..etc
Most importantly, try getting tourisim packages it would save you money and will be a guidline on what sights you should see.
This is supposed to be a tourism in 'oman' section..and since this thread isn't related to oman I'll be moving it to 'life style' sabla.
Congrats in advance.

Rossonero 11-11-06, 06:41 AM Italy:
Roma, Firenze (Florence), Milan (dont go there in August). When you go to Milan, take a train to Stresa. When you go to Florence make sure you visit Pisa and for sure, the factory outlets: Prada, Gucci, Fendi etc.
Spain:
Barcelona is wonderful
Austria:
If you want to relax, go to Bad Gastein. If you want to show your bride some Sound of Music stuff, go to Salzburg. Wana visit Mozart? Go to Salzburg

In August all Italians of Milano are on holiday, so you wont see busy streets and so on (the beauty of every city)

You don't want to establish a factory as others, here, have suggested you should go to Italy to roam around into factories such as Piza nor you need to drive a Ferrari or so.
For an eclusive 'romantic' moment I imagine you want somewhere tranquil. Together with your 'Malaika' you want to be somewhere not less than 'Peponi' totally out of this world. The place you should spent this 'unforgetable' moment should be a place that MUST could save as moment to recncile when difference arose in the unknown future. Therefore, the place you select ought to be an investment for the 'mustaqbel'. So you don't have to go where the nature has been transformed. Not europe nor far-East.
The following are the places I recommend in order of priority :
Sultanate of Oman
1. Sharqiya - a. Duqm
b. Ras al-Had
c. Sawadi but for the occasion it is a crowded !
Kenya East African
2. Lamu ireland: For it's long beach and tranquility. Plenty of fresh food which you MUST consume to refuel proper

Remember the magic is to take your-half one to 'Peponi' and NOT less than.
Wishing you all the Best of Barakat.
. While comming back please don't 4get my :candy:
amo_l_oman 12-11-06, 09:18 PM Advice for girls :
Desert Sloath is representative of a species called "thick in money husband"
You understand it during engagement phase
So be smart and send him back to his mummy
Muscati 12-11-06, 09:46 PM It all depends which season you get married, doesn't it?
Rossonero 13-11-06, 04:28 AM It all depends which season you get married, doesn't it?
Yes it does. But The Peninsula aka "woman's shoe" is a MUST VISIT, especially for the honeymoon, right amo?

i went for a very nice tour in Italy in my honeymoon.
Italy in January is very nice regarding weather unlike other european countries.
Plus, i winter prices are very cheap... i took all 4 and 5 stars hotesl with a very good offer.
Look at the internet for atour called: Real Italy sponsored by trafalgar (http://www.tourvacationstogo.com/trafalgar_tours.cfm?npid=4103&nhr=1). This not a tiring tour. You will find some tours in 3-4 countries, i don't advice you because it will not be a comfortable one.
Rossonero 21-11-06, 10:46 AM Which cities have you visited FaHaD?
the flight from Oman goes through Milan (By Alitalia), thus you can stay for 2-3 nights in Milan with the same ticket.. Milan and Rome are the best cities in Italy.
The Trafalgar agent in Oman is NTT (national travel and tourism)

I think I took the same agent,
Muscat - Barcelona - Milan - Florence (train from Milan) - Florence to Roma (train)
Make sure u buy a ticket online, you can go to anywhere in Italy by train in 10days
other options but expensive:
sydney : wonderful place for families.
Vancouver ( Canada): great. U can take a cruise to Alaska.
USA: Las Vegas... after your honeymoon when alone
South Korea: In february , the snow is very nice there with many good activities
Rossonero, the cities are shown in the link in themap.
Me and my my wife wanted to watch Ac Milan Mtach. It was Sunday in Milan.. However, it was rainy that day and we have cancelled it.
1. I would definattley not preffer London for Honeymoon (more for a vacation of 2-3 days)
2. France - You can go to Paris, which is beautiful and romantic at the night, but for couple days as well... Not really for Honeymoon either... French people are jerks if you don't speak French!
3. Italy ... is a very romantic country... This is the place I would choose.
4. Turkey - vacation in Istanbul, but South Turkey- Bodrum, Antalya, DIdim- nice for a relaxing vacation- maybe honeymoon too! :) Istanbul is a very busy city... It is beautiful but not for Honeymoon!
5. Sandals is the perfect place just like Italy ... Romantic and beautiful! My best friend was there for her Honeymoon, and she loved it. I'm actually planning to go to Italy because I've been there already on a vacation... Enjoyable and Luvley! :)
6. Greece is beautiful and not that expensive but I would NEVER choose Greece for my own reasons!
Congratulations and Good Luck!

How about a tiny island in the middle of the mediterranean, full of culture and history, beautiful weather, friendly people, magnificent hotels and little secluded beaches? Malta! The destination for many film sets, Gladiator, Alexander, Cutthroat Island, Troy, the Count of Monte Cristo and many more.
Rugged cliffs and the beautiful sea.

We have many world renowned hotels, like the Hilton, Intercontinental, Radisson, Westin, Corinthia etc.. our food is good, the people friendly and our language is much like arabic, though we all speak fluent English as it is also our national language. :cute:
