I think you can do it by the regular way, going to the thread & subscribe.

Myself, I never use it.

It's under the icon "Thread Tools" at the top of the page. There is an option which says "Subscribe this thread". Do that in the thread you want to subscribe for. I hope the instructions are clear :)

FaRaSHa, I think for the Notification Type, you select No email notification.

That is because you chose the wrong options after you subscribed.

Follow my instruction, then it is going to ask you "How would you like subscribe?". You can choose weekly email updates, daily emails or no email notification. Choose "no email notification" and thats it. It will be added to your CP.
