process of deciding the fate of the proposed £100m
London Masjid. Evening Standard is running a poll of

those in support and those not in support of building
the masjid. At present, the non-Muslims, who are not
in support, are overshadowing the Muslims in support.

I've just voted Yes. But don't you think 100 million is a lot money to be spent on a mosque. Maybe they should put aside a little money to help those who really need it (in the middle east i.e., Lebanon, Iraq where people are going through a bad time)

seriously... its ridiculous... 100 m pounds?!!!! 0_o I say build a cheaper but large mosque to house in many muslims while praying and use the rest of the money for donation... its A LOT more helpful both to people and God...

that 100m could be used for the mosque plus a whole set of facilities i.e small school , Library , maybe some shops .

i think money is not the matter maybe they ment large one cuz it will be more expencive

With 100 millions they can build at least 10 majids. We can hardly find a msjid in here except those rented house which people tend to call masjid, when in reality it's musala.

I dont think you need to vote, this is certain. As long as Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum wants something, he gets it, as soon as he snaps his finger! The guy is made of money.

well, i'd rather they built it..so if it took 100m then let it be..obviously it's gonna be huge..and i don't think they're that dumb to NOT realize they need more than one..but a huge one is a good start

The previous sentence says it all. I want the most expensive largest masjid in UK (Europe).
