I have never won anything that was worth more than 10 dollars. :yell:

I used to play Tambola (Housie) quite some time back and once won a gold chain (about 9 gms). Never won anything since :(

Yah I once entered this drawing contest and won the first place. I have a certificate hanging on the wall right in front of me lol. I guess that was the only thing I ever won.

I remember in 5th grade doing some video project for school and I won some medal but I never got it because i transferred to a different school :(

I won a 5-day accomodation in any hotel in any country in Europe, a whole day at a spa!!!, a 20 rial shopping spree, and 10 rials from a drawing contest! :angel:

Everything, besides the first two, was when I was a little girl! :cute: Lol!

There is a nice story long back very related to this:

It was me and my friend erasing one of the winning shopping card at one of the big hyper market Mall at that time, we were one km away when we discovered that we won a peanuts and another card saying “ TOY’.

So my friend’s first impression was thinking it was ‘TOYOTA’ gift, I remember he jumped up with happiness. Even though I know how bad luck he was, but I kept silent. So we decided to proceed to the mall. In the way, I asked him’ Doesn’t ‘ TOY’ mean something else than a real car. ! He said ‘no, TOY should be a short name for TOYOTA and I have seen Corolla outside the mall for this draw’ :p

I replied: but u r ne7ees ‘ so bad luck’ since ever how come today ! :think:

We went directly to the mall reception and ask for what Toyota’ brand my friend won… they replied that this TOY ,TOY a kid small car …:candy:

Really It was not the right time to laugh, but I have insisted at least to see the kids car. My fried gave up and he was sad but I told hime.. ‘ khalaas don’t be sad, I will go and bring that small kids car so u give it to ur young brother..

So I went to receive the two gifts, the “Toy’ and the peanuts’…. The surprise was the peanuts bag was maller than my hand and the toy even smaller that my finger :lift: ‘ I swear this was true’..

When I go out the mall my friend was waiting … I asked him to walk back few meters and I throw him with that little toy he won… ‘ I told him this should last time we come to this Mall’.. :Sick:

1. Back in 2001, I won a package to 1 out of 5 countries, besides the ticket, there was a stay in a 5 star hotel, breakfast included, tour guide....etc.

2. Back in 2003, won a night @ Sawadi Beach Resort (http://alsawadibeach.com/main.html) for 2 people... inluding breakfast n lunch :)

I won the Lion King coloring competition that was held in Burger King back in 1995..the prize was 4 plane tickets and 3 days stay in Disney Land Paris...we ended up staying in France for most of the summer though.

I remember that I used to paricipate in this newspaper, I won many times. But, never went to get the prizes. Except for once that I got this ball.

I won a mobile phone when I was abroad, it was the Close Up smile contest. Believe me, I have a bad smile! :D

All I can remember is a lousy watch from this school's event that was held.
And I won first place for this essay writing competition two years ago.

I won RO 2000 from Al-Harthy. My father happened to write my name on the coupon he got. I won several watches and stuff from school as well. I also got several appliances from supermarkets.

And did you get a share of that 2K?

Yes! But part of the prize was that I had to spend it in 10 minutes around Al-Harthy (this is back when it was still very popular). I went over board of course but it was cool :D

1 certificate for designing the best eid card (in skool), ma bro won the 2nd place ;) this was back in 1998

2005 won a certificate for being the Best Chatter in Chick Chat (it was a weekly club meeting in Uni :p students from diffrent countries wud meet up for lunch and talk about 1 topic e.g birthdays everyone will talk about that conept in their culture basically, u get to know a lot about other cultures)

No money prizes :( all were certificates!! but its kewl!! :p
