Hi to everybody! :)
I hope I'm in the right thread. Anyway, what interests me is what Omani houses look like, as I'm from Brazil and my imaginations may be very wrong.
I study in California, live on campus, and before that, I lived with my family in an appartment in Rio. It was just like any other appartment, quite spacious. In Rio there is either rich or poor; and I was lucky enough to have been born into the small middle class, so no luxuries, but an apartment in which I could lock myself away from the family when I wanted peace. :)
In my imagination, Omani houses, especially in the city, look like the following: they are white, one or two-storey, they have rooms for the kids, and basically every room which Western houses have. However, there are more carpets, but sofas also exist.
I have also heard about special gathering rooms for men, women and both. Is this true?
Do Omani houses have garages?
Please, guys and girls, take no offence in my stupid questions. :inno:
Am just very interested how everything in Oman looks; and in the next time I will probably not make it there. :(
Is it true that you have walls around your houses? Do you have gardens?
Well, that were many questions, and I hope they didn't make me look too stupid. :shy:
Greetings from US (I hate the president, too) to Oman! :)
