Last year I was a brother from the 'hood (posted pic here somewhere). This year I'm a pimp (hat, walking stick, spinning chain... the whole deal) and have a couple girls dress skimpy too... will see about posting a pic.

....Muslims are not to celebrate Hallowen, x-mas, Easter or St Patrick days......its not Allowed for Muslims to join those who are non-muslim's celebrations or event specially that these celebration did not have an origin in their religion and it does not mean any thing to Jews or Christins or Budhist or Shiekh....etc

.........So taking from the above and me being a Muslim i am not with those who celebrate it........

.......So i am not going to dress up for such a night and not do any thing special on it.......:)

.....Cute-Thing: i believe you are a Muslim, my question to you is WHY do you celebrate Hallowen and what is the point behind it?........

Muslims I know are split about half-half on participating in Halloween.

Halloween has a religious origin: it's the night before All Saints' Day. They used to call that, All Hallows' Day and the night before was the Evening or Even of Hallows' Day. So, "Hallows Even" or "Hallow E'en".

But really it's not a religious day at all. Christians don't celebrate Halloween as a religious day. It's just like folk culture. Nobody thinks of religion--it's just a day to dress up, and go around to get candy, and have parties. Just innocent fun. It's not "celebrating" anything, really. Just games and playing around.

So, I don't see why Cute_Ting can't have fun with everybody else.

Christmas and Easter are different--truly religious days. And St. Patrick's Day is religious too, I guess, though most people just think of it as an Irish national day.

When I was a kid back in the states, my sister and I dressed up in our Omani clothes and went trick or treating and people loved it, they took pictures of us and posed with us too. The candy was the best part, we'd go home and count who go the most candy. I remember I wore a yellow Omani dress.

When I was in school, some of my friends would throw Halloween parties. I dressed up as a doctor once, not very creative I'm afraid.

Everyone here will be celebrating Halloween, but I doubt I'm gonna join in.
