I did not forget you, but you submitted your combo in such a way that I was not able to get the links to your combos from your post. Don't quote your combos, because when I quote your post, I can't get the links like I did with the others. I had to get Dede-a supermod-to edit your post, to be able to get your links and give them to me. So a lesson to be learnt, when any of you guys submit your combos, don't quote it! :rolleyes:

3. Well, I loved Tiny Heart's combo in the last contest and voted for it. And I REALLY like her new combo. It's so beautiful and it reminds me of the romantic side of Islamic cultures that Western people used to have before all the troubles of the last few years came up. I'm sure some of those ideas were distortions, but better to have attractive ideas and stories, I think. If it was this combo, I would have made it number 2 or maybe even 1.

Still, I like the heart combo. I like the arrangement of the clouds at the bottom of the avatar, I like the three yellow rays only in a sort of cut-out-paper style coming from the heart. I like how the flesh color of the little arms (maskeena!) attract the eye. I like how the name disappears in the signature and there's only half a heart. And Tiny Heart, the reacher, isn't there! Kind of unusual idea to not have yourself in the signature, but only the thing you are looking for--and not even your nick, but looking for the heart. Who can resist? ;-)

2. Well, Nosa's is just beautiful. The eye runs to that beautiful red right away. And I love the way the flower is the center of attention in two different ways in the signature and the avatar. The tendrils in the corner of the avatar are beautifully done, too! And the name twice in the avatar like that is a sweet touch.

1. Toxic_Honey! Amazing, as usual. The way she uses color always makes me look deeper and appreciate it more! Even the bright colors seem pastelized or dusty or something and the whites, and blacks and greys always seem to be the center of attention.

And the more you look, the more they seem to seep in everywhere and dominate things. The white background is more white, because the bright colors aren't that bright so it's the brightest thing! But it's white and plain. The dark eye shadows where the eyes should be, the dark purple brown of the leaves on the hair...all fascinating colors in the whole scheme.

And I like the tongues of color with LYM's initials on them on the signature.

I feel so often like Honey's art is really unique and I'm learning something from it. A real artist, not just a cool illustrator.
