Lonely... I don't think so, there are 3 other goldfish in the same aquarium, one of them is another black more... So I don't think it is because of feeling lonely ...

Yes this was my first idea, could be because she is wearing pikini all the time she feels shy or something...good point Shinkoda, now your are using your brain in full capacity !

About the scary looking, I think for a fish, I would look scary but sure if you look at them they will feel at home...Fish Face!:lift:

I did hit the glass, and knock on the doors, she keeps looking at the stones at the bottom of the aquarium...:bored:

Again it is a black goldfish with big eyes called "Black Moore"
This is the photo of the fish

And sure I don't mix tropicals with goldfish, I have only gold fish in my tank.

It could be anything except dead, fish when they die they bubble up to the surface...she is staying still like a stone at the bottom of the tank.

Sure I love my fish...:mmhmm: They are my friends!

Is there a fish veterinarian or a fish doctor? I guess not.

But I bet there is something on the net about fish health. Why not try googling around on "fish diseases" and "lethargic fish" and things like that and see what you find?

Haroun, although goldfishes are one of the most hardy and first fishes that were kept as pets, today goldfishes are one of the most sensitive and disease prone aquarium fishes.

The reason for this is the fact that most of them are exported from Thailand and Malaysia, and the fish farm that breed goldfishes use fishes that are related (same parent or so on). As a result, most of these goldfish have very weak imune systems and rarelly survive as long as the goldfishes generally should do. And blackmoor and pearscale godfishes are the worst!

Anyhow, from my experience of dealing with various types of goldfishes, I have generally found a way to keep them healthy in good condition. And since I know the origin of your goldfishes, I am sure you will benefit from my tips insha'Allah:

Firstly, make sure that you tank is spacious enough to house the number of goldfishes you have. In other words, the tank is not over populated like India :p

Secondly, make sure the water flow caused by the internal power filter (if you have one) is not strong. That is, water flow is relatively slow.

Thirdly, make sure the water temp. is between 27-30. I know goldfishes are coldwater fish but the ones we have in Oman are not caught from the wild. They are tank bred and have become used to warmer water. Specially the young goldfishes.

Fourthly, and most importantly, make sure the water is very very clean. That is, your filter is very efficient and effective.

Now, from what you mentioned in the previous posts, I think your fish has got some internal problem caused by the bad environment. If that is the case, one by one, all your goldfishes will die either the same way or in a different way.

In cases of aquarium fishes, prevention of disease is the cure. For now, I suggest you do a ten % water change, reduce the feeding , and increase the temp. to 30 degrees. And of course, keep the dark in relatively dark place and try not to disturb the fish. Specially not by knocking on the glass. That is just stupid :p

Internal diseases are difficult to treat. So lets hope it works out well for you.

Haroun, if you have the time and will, get your self a bucket, add some new water to it, add the require chemicals to make the water appropriate for fish, add a filter to it, warm it up to 27-30 degrees and just keep it somewhere for a couple of day without disturbing the fish.

Make sure the bucket is not moved and try to cover it even from th top so the light doesn't disturb it.

This might help. It worked well for one of my fish.

well for one of my mother's gold fishes, he did just that, and a few days later, he was declared dead by my maid. Therefore you should spend these last few hours having fun with it and reminding it of the good time you shared together :weep:

Click on the video (http://s78.photobucket.com/albums/j106/Haroundb/Video/?action=view&current=fishsick.flv) above to see my black Moor goldfish [Left bottom just under the filter at the far left end of the aquarium]. It is sad that I can't do anything for it. And STING, the bucket thing is difficult because i can't maintain a proper temperature for the poor thing. I have only either a AC condition which is cold atmosphere or hot outside the AC. We here in Oman don't have spring weather anyway!

It is not about tempreture sweety, that would be easy to fix, there is something wrong with the fish.

BTW Haroun, by the movement of the plastic tree in the background, I think your filter is too strong for your small tank. And specially with goldfishes inside, this is really bad!

The goldfishes are uncomfortable in the tank and you can see that by their movement!

OK I agree with you, so what do you think the best thing to do? I have been told that power filters are the best for cleaning the tank, that is what made me buy one?!

So what do you suggest?

So what do you suggest?

Power filters r very good for keeping the tank clean. But it must suite the fishes you have.

The solution is that you either buy a biological filter and change the water more often or else buy another power filter that causes a slow watrer flow. Ask for sprinkle-type filter or waterfall (hang-on) filter.

Best of luck
