I talk with the hands but I didnt quite notice till one day when I was explaining something to my sister and as I was she started to mimic my actions. :hmm:

I occassionally wave my hands when I feel the listener is staring at my mouth while I talk, making me feel like he/she is having a tough time understanding my accent. And so, I talk faster and wave my hands to throw the other person totally off.

We have a wierd awesome class at uni called Cross Cultural Perspective. Anyways, the class was divided into two equal gropus, my group was assigned to just disscuss and debate soe stuff, and each of the other group was assigned to observe one of our group and take notes. so, the one who observed me said that I move my hands like hell when I'm talking, mostly in an agressive way, and that I never stopped moving them while talking. :D

I was telling my friends this story once and I was saying 'ya and then I picked up the phone' and I was miming myself being on the phone! And I started laughing at myself - it's like if I didn't do that they wouldn't understand that I was ON THE PHONE. :p :p
