View Full Version : Would you go for it?
solitude 10-09-06, 01:52 PM Henna during pregnancy is an ancient practice and is soothing as well as calming. It is believed to help bring about an easy birth and healthy child.
Many countries including Morocco and India have traditions of applying henna during the third trimester of pregnancy. Henna is believed to protect and bless the mother and child from any evil or malicious spirits that may be near during delivery.
As henna is being infcorporated into modern culture, new traditions are being created. One new way women are using henna is to decorate the belly during pregnancy. So, ladies would you go for it?
solitude 10-09-06, 01:56 PM Some pics for you to decide.:hmm:

And it will look like an ugly ugly skin disorder when it starts fading away.
:os
Yeah, they look weared and even ugly...:os
fatamooo 10-09-06, 04:21 PM Welllll, the designs themselves aren't ugly, but henna designs aren't meant to be so big and ... sprawling.
Libellula 10-09-06, 07:42 PM Eww, no way.
Superbia 10-09-06, 07:48 PM OMG it looks so pretty .. i just LOVE henna .. i'll go 4 it :) makes the bely look cute lol!
eL3yo0oN 10-09-06, 08:02 PM ewww its ugly! no way im gonna do that! haha
solitude 10-09-06, 11:48 PM LOL. I like henna, but it looks weird on the belly, that too on a pregnant belly.
Fdaitny 10-09-06, 11:52 PM I like the look of henna, but the smell nauseates me from now, and I vomit when I smell it.. So I don't think I'd put henna ANYWHERE if I'm pregnant!
Her XLNC 11-09-06, 12:48 AM Its beautiful, and i'd go 4 it...if my hubby didnt mind that is ;)
fatamooo 11-09-06, 12:56 AM Ewww lol I just thought of something! Doesn't the stomach get all loose and stretchmarky after the baby is born? What's the henna gonna look like THEN!!!
lol... i guess im 1 of the few tht would go 4 it! i dont really like henna (inthe past 3 years i've only had it done twice, & kept tht 2 a minimum!) but i think tht looks real pretty.... i mean if im gonn ahave a belly tht size thn i might as well make it look cool :XD:
Never! Besides wouldn't it burn while it dries out?
Her XLNC 11-09-06, 03:19 AM ^^i dnt think it would...unless the person has a sensitive skin...then that would be something else...:)
and fatamooo...i was thinking the same too...but hey..im a henna freak ;)
MorphaKnight 11-09-06, 04:39 AM Ewww lol I just thought of something! Doesn't the stomach get all loose and stretchmarky after the baby is born? What's the henna gonna look like THEN!!!

Angel_Eyes 11-09-06, 08:29 AM what the? never heard THAT before...henna on the belly?...ooookkkaaay!..no i wouldn't go for it..sounds weird....LOL
No I wouldn't, but I might have a small henna tattoo at the front of my pelvis :p
Angel_Eyes 11-09-06, 08:33 AM what's a pelvis???
toxic_honey 11-09-06, 08:39 AM eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewww
HELL NO
Angel_Eyes 11-09-06, 08:40 AM who thought of such an idea anyways???
what's a pelvis???
I mean, in my hip bone area :)
Angel_Eyes 11-09-06, 09:03 AM oooh cool...sounds great! heheh
It's cute, Angelina Jolie has her dragon tattoo on her lower hip. Those designs are too big, if it was a small one and in only in a corner (i.e. hip); maybe it wouldn't look to bad!
Angel_Eyes 11-09-06, 09:10 AM yeah i've seen her tatoo..not that great but perhaps a butterfly would look cute...as long as it's not a real tatoo...they are haram i believe...the stick-on ones are harmless
solitude 11-09-06, 01:59 PM Ewww lol I just thought of something! Doesn't the stomach get all loose and stretchmarky after the baby is born? What's the henna gonna look like THEN!!!
Don't worry, it doesn't stay that long... and I don't think the color would be too dark on stomach.
solitude 11-09-06, 02:00 PM I mean, in my hip bone area :)
I love that!
solitude 11-09-06, 02:36 PM I find it extremely attractive.

Libellula 11-09-06, 02:45 PM ^^ Those look okay, but maybe if they were smaller, and were just in the middle I'd consider going for it.
solitude 11-09-06, 03:37 PM But Libellula the last one looks really cool and the design is not that big either.
Libellula 11-09-06, 04:51 PM But Libellula the last one looks really cool and the design is not that big either.
