View Full Version : A chat room
I don't know if somebody has ever suggested this. A chat room for ES.
I think this idea may bring alot of internet users. I'm also sure there will be so many benefits in the future if this happens.
What do you guys reckon?
NicoBambi 04-09-06, 10:30 PM this is alredy something like that called "member's living room" :)

Tiny Heart 04-09-06, 10:36 PM having a chat-room in a different platform that ES it self isnt realiable...
its like somehow we r by our own hands driving members to intreact n engage in a diff environment rather than ES it self... ppl would b busy chatting else where rather than creating threads n posting in here...
long huh :p
lo0olz, so its no 4 me..

So you think ES is for chatting. Yes, I understand you perfectly.

NicoBambi: I did not know that. Thanks.
I still think it might be really beneficial by all means, I know so many people who are not into 'forums', simply. So why not?
ES is lovely and has a good reputation not just in Oman itself, some other places too.
a chat room will effect the amount of activity in the actual forum and might cause various sections to die , so nothing positive for the forum can ever come out of it.

what part of my post says that :duh:
i clearly said, that instead of members focusing in ES by creating threads n replying to threads, they'be converting their time in chit chats in that chat room :bored:
am i clear now ?
As Nabhan said, will make Salab lose it's activity.
The member's living room is kinda of a chat sabla but in different way the the usual one ...
NaBHaN, I half agree with you. As I said earlier, many people dislike writing forums and love direct chatting.
I would say it may affect, as you have said, but again ES has so many lovely members and moderators which could be a supportive way to launch a chat room.
One of my friends bought a website for 8,000 pounds because of its forum's reputation and put many developments into it. Now I believe it is worth a whole lot more if he decides to sell it.
Here in Kuwait, as same as KSA, websites are becoming so many important so anyone could benefit by all means, if you get my point.
My omanis friends always talk about two things: either the known sabla (arabic one) or the ES and English is quite attractive in anywhere in gult countries nowadays ;)

I'm sure this may happen but would you not love to try? It may turn good, if not, simply close it.

If you are sure this is will happen ( and I am quite sure also ) !
So why to put English sabla in such situation, I think we rather try to improve it and make it more acitive and developed rather than lose it's activity !
i dont think there should be achat room here... will kinda contradict the whole point of having the sabla... memebers can chat thru the living room as well as pm.... 4 those who want 2 instant msg & stuff certain members have their email adds available 4 tht.. so yeah, having a chat room would ruin the whole atmosphere or the sabla.... @ least tht's wut i think :shy:

I think you're right.
Thug4Life 05-09-06, 12:57 PM Then issue is over...as per members majority and The Team;s Opinion did NOT change about this matter through the past 6 years
Thanx for the suggestion Though
