How important is money for you? If, Allah forbid, you become poor some day, how difficult would life be for you? Would you have to go through a big life-style change?

I cant imagine my self without money....
Its like death for me....
My current life evolves around money.... my studies, my car, me expensis... if 1 day I go bunkcruppt, I would commit suicide :weep:

For example.. A person like me looking for a job, the first thing I look at is the salary... One boss said, "hey! salary isnt everything you know! concentrate on the experience you'd get, salary would increase after some time.."

Sorry buddy, salary IS everything, it should be atleast enough for me to maintain the life my dad has provided for me.. atleast.. Meaning, just the feeling that I could afford almost everything is good enough for me.. lol

Obviously if I became like really poor my lifestyle would change - you have to live within your means, so when your means change, your life changes.
It would suck, though :os

I'm a little spoilt, and I can't imagine having to live with less money than I have now. :os My life would definitely change drastically.

I wouldn't be able to sleep if I had money problems so yes it is important for me in order to feel secure and happy..It's not everything but it's still an important necessity.

I agree that if this question was asked few years back my answer would have been different .. when I was a student, living a different lifestyle did not seem difficult .. I would be broke, and wouldnt worry much ..
but today, money's importance to me is growing, I worry about bills and about certain responsibilties I have to pay .. so without money I would really find it hard to live .. but I beleive humans are adabtable .. and will get use to it

It would be really hard for me, as I can't go too long without spending something.. It has become a necessity in my life especially because every day that passes by, I would need something.. :shy: It makes me really sad though..
And I'm really spoiled.. so that wouldn't help..

But you shouldnt need money to feel confient, its an illusion. In that case, money covers up for a low self-esteem (and we see that so much among the young rich kids these days).

I guess in all honesty, in this day and age, money is power.

I work for my living expenses, I have to pay rent, a car, household costs like food etc, my maid, cable, telephone bills etc. So it would be difficult without money.....

Even when I get married, I want to work and help out where I can and not depend on my husband only... at least I can buy him nice gifts with my own money and not with his :)

I'd stop going out, I spend 5ro on Petrol everyday now! Let alone food etc.

well .. am chasing money . but i dont use my money in basics .. like movies, snacks (etc) and some basics .. only some .. but i still cant imagine how to be a poor guy ..

well i will join the military if i was not accepted i will try to work as fisher man or a cleaner etc .... lots of jobs are available.

I'll live very economical and sure enough make drastic changes to my lifestyle. Shouldn't be too tough for people who made it on their own, rather than inheriting a large fortune or living off one's wealthy parents.

It is just a thing we use to do stuff around...
Ppl fight for money, die for it, kill for it and even sell their souls for it....
But it is nothing....it is just a tool, for god sake...:angry:
It is occupying everybody's mind...that we are becoming very materializing...

i dunno,,, i always get "u dont know the value of a rial" or in arabic " ma ti3rafi qimat el floos"

but when i get my own life,, and dont have to depend on my parents i think moneys going to be very important ,,

i do believe money cant buy happiness, & tht the best things in life r 4 free... but 1 cant be naive & say tht u can be the happiest person in the world even if u r the poorest, bcuz money does ease ur way 2 a more satisfying life (im not talking abt millions.... just enough 2 lead a decent life with basic needs).
i guess i would be ok if i didnt have any money @ all, but i wont lie & say it wont bother me... bcuz 1 cant be satisfied with less once u've experienced something better
