I do it every 2-3 years on average and I think yes it is very important to know what you might have but equally at very young age you dont need as such.

Hmm..last time I did some checkups was in 2002..I should get another one done soon.

I think I did a checkup last year. I had my cholestrol level borderline, even though I am pretty darn skinny.

I think everyone should do a checkup.

Those who have a family history of certain conditions such as diabetes, hypertension or hyperlipidemia should get tested more frequently as they grow older

However, usually annual checkups are more than enough & they constitute of: blood pressure check, blood sugar, dental examination, brief physical examination...etc

A baseline test for complete blood count, cholesterol, RFT & LFT...etc should be taken & when normal they can be repeated every 3 years or so

Females should get a mammogram done every 1-2 years especially those whom are above 40 years of age, those with a positive family history of breat cancer should also self examine themselves to detect breast lumps early. They should also get a PAP smear taken & its frequency depends on the age of the female (only for those whom are sexually active).

Bone densimetry for osteoporotic women

The list goes on...

I've only had one medical check up done in my whooole life :o and that one was a couple of weeks ago... oh but do the school checkups count? I don't think so lol
