Today I went down to buy something from the near supermarket, and while going down in the lift I noticed a book of registery for the company who is supplying drinking water for us. It seems that the man forgot the book in there. then when I went back I found around 6 omani guys who are around 20-27 years old, were comming out of the lift, and they were so much quite, holding a laughter inside their throats!

I was shocked that I found pages of the book were torn and thrown on the floor of the lift, the book twisted and all the buttions of lift pressed!:eh:

Shame ... shame on them, why in the hell would they do that? Iam sure that there is no logical reason that they do this, because they dont' look lik they live in our building (first time to see them), and they most probably never seen the water guy who was just unlucky to face such idiots!

I got so much angry and really wished that I would have shouted at them. The strange thing is that these people and similar group of guys do much destruction as they move. I have seen many incidents like this and sure they spoil cars streets anything they pass by.

I have seen once in Kalbo Park that is in Muttrah a little Indian boy and his father were playing with a small baloon like ball, when a punch of "bastards" did pass by and one of them cut the balloon just for no clear reason? The guy was really helpless and nearly in tears and sure his kid was so much crying...mix all this with the loud laughter of the gand!

Sure that guy who "literary done the act of spoiling someone's happiness" would have never done so if he was alone! I am 100% sure of that. I have observed this for years and this rule never fail, "one alone will be so quite and polite, again nasty and harmful among his friends".

Why do you think their motivations is to be so much destructive? Why also being on crowd they get more nasty totally opposite to being alone very polite? What do you suggest to stop this shameful incidents?

this happens everywhere and the onley thing which will stop stuppid behaviours is by education and nothing else. these ppl still not responsible for anything yet and once they r they will stop these actions.
what I wanna say here is that Education and Responsability is the key.

Because they're bored out of their minds that they're entertained by other peoples' tragedy - even though that's a strong word but you get the idea.

When you're in a group, you lose your individuality and identity. It's easier to express and lash out when you're in a group. In addition, you're easier to be influenced in a group to do something that humors/entertains the group, so you do it, to look courageous, funny or even cruel and strong to your group members.

I can't shut up when I see someone doing something nasty. Even if it doesn't concern me, I'm gonna go and give them a piece of my mind.

It pisses me off when a bunch of idiots prey on the helpless.

I think wealth and modern life messes up a lot of things. The social glue that keeps people in hand starts to come apart. This affects all societies, Omani and American, too. It's just that we're ahead of you.

God help us all. I'm afraid sometimes that we have a lot to suffer in the years to come. We will pull through somehow.

guys like that r just plain immature. they have no respect 4 any1/anything, they have no consideration abt what ppl feel & value, & they dont understand the value of anything. i think when they'r in groups they do tht kinda thing 4 fun, & the reason they find it funny is bcuz (refer 2 1st sentence). when alone no guy would do such a thing bcuz he knows he can get his ***** whipped, & also cuz maybe they realise it's pointless.

Omg that's so cruel! Bullying a little kid like that, and in front of his dad too - that's just not on... it's so demeaning and disrespectful especially in front of the father.

Guys like that basically think that they have to prove themselves to their friends - they want to be fearless and brave, although they don't seem to realize that bullying a kid does not incite fear in anyone and certainly doesn't require bravery; just the opposite in fact. If you're getting your laughs out of senselessly destroying people's things, and bullying kids, in a crowd or alone, the only thing that comes to mind is that they're scummy excuses of human beings and complete waste of space and brain cells, if in fact they have any.

I wrote this post minutes after I went out of the lift where they cut the poor water company guy's book, with all the information it contains...Just his mistake is to forget and leave it inside the lift. I was just so much mad because I don't like injustice.

Ok. they did a bad thing, we always see such acts. What will happen if you showed a video tape of them to the police? They'll advice them and that's it. Now what if they went to the police and told them what you said. You should be (spanked :D) 80 time (minimun) although its diferent now and you might be fined 500 rials and hopefully 2 days in prison.
