RedDot 28-08-06, 12:37 AM Do you think that Hezbullah capitalized on the deaths and destruction resulting from the war it started with Isreal or did it hurt their image world wide? Dark Project 28-08-06, 11:48 AM Do you think that Hezbullah capitalized on the deaths and destruction resulting from the war it started with Isreal or did it hurt their image world wide? Oh This is new ! Hizbollah started the War ? How so !! by caputruing 2 soldiers ? I dont know why ou pasue a question and it was discussed in many threads in sabla . Ok round 2 :) Who started the war Sir ? And give us your insights ? Not from what you read or see on the TV .. Logic answer Mr. RedDot Haroundb 28-08-06, 12:12 PM I thought to just open a thread to know what is your openion about an incident where army forces capturing soldiers in the supermarket or in Kentacky... I don't know ... I just don't remember was it Macdonalds?! Two soldiers were captured during the time they were taking a short nap near the swimming pool, wearing the pikini. :D These soldiers who were captured by Hisbullah were doing what when they were captured...Fishing? If Hisbullah captures a civilian then true it spoils the name of such a Islamicaly supported Jihad forces, but they actually didn't and never do. It is very SHAMEFUL that a strong mighty super imagistic country like Israel, had one of its soldiers captured like we do capture chicken in the farm! I don't know these Israeli soldiers seem to be sort of Gays to have this happen to them? I think these soldiers will directly send a message SMS to momy and dady crying asking them to talk to uncle Olmert to release their little honest koko son..! These people all the way make no sense in anything, they think they can fool the whole world, using Mother America and Uncle SAM's support of "Gun Controled Explanations"! Sure this world is not for right and justice, it is for mean and filthy people to enjoy their freedom of speach and support by Odibic forces of injustice....:eh: Haroundb 28-08-06, 12:16 PM I don't know if this is true or not, but I heared that Israeli soldiers take their Tedy Bear along with them in the tank or the Jet while on the army... :D RedDot 28-08-06, 05:54 PM Oh This is new ! Is illegal occupation considered war & terrorism? RedDot 28-08-06, 09:27 PM Is illegal occupation considered war & terrorism? Not if the lands were acquired as a result of whipping the tar out of the mighty arab armies 40 years ago. Haroundb 29-08-06, 12:20 AM Off Topic … Dot, I think you are better in quoting than reading, see ... logic didn't work, so now we are just making it fun! :D Did you ever try to understand that what you are saying about Israel and your twisted explainations are just a joke! I dont know how come you get a sleep with such a brain? In thousands of posts we tried to convince with all the logics people of such a kind, who used to cast accusations and then put some deaf ear to the explanations...Your are one of them, I don't know what is your nationality, or what that avatar khaligi guy laying like a fool in the middle of the street? Are you Arab? I doubt but you sound really rather odd to me! So why so upset with my reply ? I tried my best in previous threads to explain with lengthy threads how things come to be with no avail! Give me other choices to get into your logic system to start data transmission or else you are just wasting time spreading hate to whatever is Islamic or Arabic! What else should I say?!!! fatamooo 29-08-06, 01:01 AM Ruin their image? This isn't a PR campaign, and they're not celebrities looking for an 'image'... Jeff 29-08-06, 02:56 AM Why is it that so often when I come on a thread like this, it seems like people are just beating on each other with sticks? And as always, fatamooo says something sensible and thought-provoking whether you agree with it or not. She's getting to be one of my Sabla heroes. It made me think: "How much do I know about the motivations of Hezbollah? Or Israel? Do groups of people have one reason only for going to war? Or is it sometimes many?" I think it's possible that sometimes people fight partly to get a better position in the world, rather than purely for justice. And I think propaganda and how you are perceived sometimes has an effect on when and how people fight. I think the question that started the thread is phrased badly. Did Hezbollah gain more than they lost in all ways is the interesting question. And I think I still agree with STING, Hezbollah won the war. But I have been reading some Lebanese bloggers lately who say that Hezbollah lost the war, because even though the Lebanese admire them, now that the war is over, even Shias are beginning to blame them for the destruction of their country. Is that right or not? I don't know. But it's worth thinking about and, if anyone is interested, reading about. So, if you agree with me and STING that Hezbollah won but you're interested in another view from a Lebanese, here it is. It's partly based on a piece written by an Iranian writer: http://lebanesebloggers.blogspot.com/2006/08/hizballah-only-won-in-eyes-of-west.html wudjab 29-08-06, 05:30 AM Jeff, I think this thread was opened in response to this one, which had an equally provocative title " Do you think the Bush administration capitalised on this tragedy and made money ?" http://www.englishsabla.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41124 Jeff 29-08-06, 07:02 AM Okay, Wudjab. I get the point. But isn't it a chicken-and-egg problem? Who dissed who first? I don't see the point in just having a spitting contest no matter who spat first. Anyway, I don't object to either thread. People start from different premises. They can either try to cultivate civility and politeness or they can just keep on slamming away. Everyone is entitled to look at it in their own way and if you and others want to be gruff and argumentative, that's up to you. You may achieve something better with your approach. I guess it's legitimate just to regard this place as an open forum for anybody to say what they want. But for myself, I feel like a guest in an Omani place, with Omani friends. I don't want to poke them with a stick in sensitive parts of their souls and bother them. I want to talk with them. That seems like the wiser approach to me, whoever "started it." I think Shamsery has found out that he could turn somewhere else worth his time. 2: This is nice of you. That is all i can say ;) . |
