What's happening in Oman??

last year when i was in oman...my friend's father was killed...he was coming from the bank...and who killed him?? three omani guys the oldest one is 19 years old...

one of my father colleagues was coming from the bank with his wife when a group of people stopped him and they asked him"your money or your wife" of course he gave them the money..

a guy from alkhoudh was driving at night when they stopped him and hit him and broke his car....

DRUGS and many stories like that we hear these days in oman....
why?? what's happening??...don't say they are indian people who do that....no..they are omanis....
maybe because they don't have job...
maybe because nobody asks or cares about them.
maybe because their familys are worse than they are...
i hope i can find the answer....and i wish i could stop that...just for oman

and there is poeple without hoses and food...

Indeeed last ,,my freinds car was stolen from a hospital in the day ...amd found latter by two omanis and ,,heard simliar stories regarding thiefs...
This behaviour is mostly bease,,no jobs and aslo family does Play major role in orintating thier childerns,,,but we are few talking a bout this ,,,hope wa koli amal ,,somebody has the authorty to shout out in Tv and newspapers ,,,i did last year to write similar tipic in oman newspoaper but sadly was blocked ,,which mean we are in the stone age ,,allla yester bas ,,,

drugs, crime, rape, all this has been here in Oman since a long time, its just that people were not informed about it. thats, what i think, is the problem, if ppl never heard of such things how would they try to solve it? another thing, its common to have such things in every country, i was not surprised when i see (every other week) in the newspaper that a gang has been caught for drug trafficking. lets just cooperate with each other to reduce these violence. if u ask me where do these ppl get their ideas from, its the moves for sure, western ones. and of course the way they were brought up changes their future, either to the good or to the bad.

inshallah these ppl will get wise and change for the better

but i wanna make comments about what ana min said,that there r 2 types of criminals.she mentioned that newborn of royal family receives 500 rials.i'd like to ask her how did she get this information? how do u know that newborn get 500 monthly?may it gets more,or less who knows? the theme is about criminals not about social affairs.and i think every omani knows what happening in oman.

i agree with wwf - the royal family is a whole different story , later maybe.
lets talk on reasons for stealing , economical or social , i think it is both.
no money can make a person do all sort of crazy things , hunger is bad bad bad.....
also no family values , these boys are living all day and night at the streets , they only go inside thier house to eat and sleep , where are the families??????

all the reasons that you gave are combined together.
they do that because they dont have job and they dont feel that we are all same in the country. there are high class people and the opposite one is the law class.
also, nobody asks about them including the government. they see what goes on but they dont try to solve it in the right sociological manner that really treats the problem.
many many factors contribute in building their behavior but,
i think the two that i gave are the most important one.

Really I could not believe what's going wrong and by whom and why they are doing like this
There are so many things still uncompleted ON THIS CONUTRY
All our young boys and young girls looking for jobs (every one is complaining for their situation and these GOV people saying no money from where no Oil) THAT'S WHY CRIEMS COME THERE IS RESONABLE FOR THEM TO DO
If we going to stop talking about what happened now THAT'S NOT FAIR AT ALL
And for how long we can stop, we have to stand up and we don't leave them to play more on this country
This is neglecting and ignoring from our government these mistakes
I full support your points as well and I full considered our ROP of extremely hard working on their works to investigate and to find crimers
They should be stop these crimes, rapes and installs
That by co-operations between ROP and us, so we can reduce averages of crimes

And we are going to ask our Gov. people to do some beside this subject it is not very simple just to say (we are Omanis citizens) and we should not fell down to solve this big problem
We have to conserve our country from any crime come

You have been talking about the crimes. Propably you have heared of the latest/biggest crime in Barkah which 3 people from Nizwa have been killed(By the way they are from my relatives).

It is a good subject to discuss. But unfortunately, all of you have missed a very strong strong strong reason, on why all these crimes are occuring in our peace Oman. The underlying cause is becuase of lack of iman. Prophet Muhammed (SAW) was a poor man, but still he was survived. He did not stop from working. He was doing alot of things.

If all of us is realy committed to rules of our Holy Book (Quraan) and SUNNAH, so nobody is going to be in trouble, no body gonna hear about crimes, no body gonna feel with a hunger...etc. But I will say, and still I will say it for ever " NO IMAN NO LIFE".

All of you who read this note, make sure, that you are fully committed to Islam and try to make your self a real muslim not a traditional one. Try to teach your sons, the islamic behavior. The wisdoms says:-

"IF THE INFANT IS NOT STROKED, HIS SPINAL CORD SHRIVULES UP"

Let us energise ourself with this pure religion and let us defend on our islam, and therefore we will in peace with no crims.

well , its mainly because, these things always happen and always will happen in any society. the thing is, we never got to hear about them. it takes a lot of time for the news to spread since the papers are forbidden to display a lot of the cases. i hope it would stop since i sincerly love oman, my home and love, but i knowthat this is inevitable. it has to happen anywhere. i hope it could be reduces or demolished if possible. until then, peace be upon al`3ubaira!!

secondly,, i agree with saffa about whats happening these days ... and therefore i would like to strongly emphasize that the education in the schools is the first step..and the punishment in the school for those who cause trouble in the schools because later they are going out in the real world and if they were grown up in a violent enviroment they come out with the worst attitudes in the society and cause these kind of trouble.so lets start from the scratch and teach the new generation the best for them and their society and consequently their country.

many poor people with: no gobs ,, nothing to do ,,,, no one help them ,,, no one take care of them ,,, parents somewhere else or dead ,,, rich people not giving them zakat el feter ,,, poor people becoming poorer and rich becoming richer ,,,,,,,,,,,etc.
After all these things what you suspect to see.
