My Cousin’s Crazy Daughter
Hear the voice that wants to sing
A tune that speaks of bonds
Bonds that tinkle bells to ring
And with that sound responds
Speaking of the bonds from them
Who lived before our time
Those that generations bring
To form a bond of mine
A bond I more than gladly took
My cousin’s crazy daughter
If I gave you one clear look
Your eyes will fill with water
I speak of what I’ve struggled through
The times I spent with her
My mind went blank I say to you
She is one crazy girl
But even then, I still would look
To wipe those jokes that slaughter
She’s still a gift I gladly took
My cousin’s crazy daughter
Hollow heart, To my late Uncle
A storm has struck,
An earthquake had shaken us all,
A hurricane has toppled our lives inside out,
A disaster like no other,
In the midst of my day
A day as normal as can be
My mother emerges,
Tears strolling down her face,
Like two lovers having a midnight stroll,
Cloaked in black,
Clouded by my Grief,
The blurry view of my drunken eyes
Filled to the brim with tears,
His laughter rings in my ears,
As precious to me as seashells to a shore,
His smile a floating memory in my mind,
Like a graceful log lying peacefully in a lake.
His presence was like a king among his subjects,
With an air of pride and a mind as cunning as can be,
He was one of a kind,
A diamond not yet refined to its full pontential,
As unique as each different star in the galaxy,
He played many roles in our lives,
The father of three,
My mother’s sibling in flesh and blood,
My beloved uncle,
He stood for all that was good in this world.
My faith is awakened within me,
After a long slumber of sleep,
It’s slowly taking over me,
One day at a time.
A Kiss from heaven
Tender, softer than a flower
When you get the love kiss of a mother
From when you were in your cradle
You still get the same affection full of life and love
Your heart opens up a seen perfect like a dove
She places the teddy bear near your pillow
You imagine her face like a chocolate or strawberry tastier than mash mellow
She advised me and still advise me when I am wrong
And sooth my worries and tells me the best will still come along
Raised me to conquer all obstacles and hard times
Look at me now I am able to write these lines
To share an atom of thanks in comparison of oceans of love
To the one who gave me life, gave me hope and protected me from death
I dedicate this poem for her ,, Mama you are My First love
Always have been till my last breath

Is there such rule that a poet votes for him/herself ? Since I was reading the rules and there is no such statement .. and I think it should be added !
^ a poet can vote for him/herslef. there's no rule against it.
