This wasnt an easy game for Valencia, Real Betis was really tough, especially at the 1st minutes.

I can say that Valencia played really good, some new players showed how they can get along with each other. Morientes the new, played fantastic, where he scored one of the two goals.
David Villa wasnt lucky in this match, though he missed many chances. I am glad that Vicente is back, he was another great one.

Lets say, this was a good start for Valencia.

Well, I was expecting much for Real Madrid's first match but, didn't happen. I still have faith in 'em. There should've been better communication between the players, some didn't get others' signals and so, the passes should've been more accurate but, they did try well and were pushing throughout the game. There were these nice touches in between to Cassano's header which was very near to the goal but, unfortunately missed it. Hope the next matches would be different, with goals scored.

There were some nice chances missed from the both teams. nice, nice goals by The Royal Team :D 3 for our Van and one for Cassano. Seems Salgado's knee got a hard one there.

I was hoping to see Valencia taking the full marks for the 4th week. But, coming with a point from Camp Nou is a win itself.

They played really good at the 1st half, closed their back area, controlled the midfield & made a quick passes forward, that was simply the goal by David Villa.

Though Barcelona came back at the 2nd half with a big push, & one mistake led to a goal.

I liked the goal of Atletico de Madrid, quick easy passes to the goal, & here Mista is scoring his 1st goal with his new team.

Valencia didnt show that great play. But, they made an easy win. Though the coach was trying to push these players who mostly get the chance to play few matches during the season.

Joaquín was out of the form, that was a wise decision by sending Angulo in. Villa was kinda nervous, even though he made a goal & scored two of the 4 goals.
I liked the play of the new young players Gavilán & Silva.

The good thing, we are still leading with Barcelona.

Valencia played a good match at the 1st half, where they scored a great goal by David Villa.
Osasuna just came back at the '35, where after that they got a control on the game at the 2nd half. They missed many chances. By the end, Valencia won the 3 points & this is the most important.


Real Madrid was great this night. Barcelona didnt really play, except for Messi who did his best.
Lets say Real Madrid didnt get many chances before scoring the two goals, it was like they scored out of 3 or 4 chances. But, after the 2nd goal, they were more attacking Barcelona.

Atletico de Madrid played a great match, just woke up after Villarreal scoring their goal.

Valencia played a good half of the match, & David Silva was just great. But, at the 2nd half they showed nothing & David Villa was unlucky! Too bad they couldnt take the match, where they received a goal at the last minutes.

Real Madrid was lucky in this match even their Ruud Van Nistelrooy scored 4 goals. I guess Osasuna controlled the game.

Valencia played good this night. But, was unlcky where Read Madrid was lucky by scoring that goal.
Valencia missing David Villa before completing half of the time of the 1st half. Exactly like what happened in the match of the UEFA Champions League, a question for the coach Quique Sanchez Flores, who game by game is commiting these mistakes. It was good to put Vicente, & he was supposed to start the match, Vicente did his best. David Silva cant be a straight striker, this was a mistake. If Villa wasnt ready, & Morientes too, so the choice was to push Tavano in.
Angulo missed a couple of serious chances, these could have changed the result.

We all know most of the teams in La Liga this season is facing problems with injuries, so this is not an excuse to let the team falling like this way!

It was a tough game for Valencia for sure. Zaragoza started it pushing from the beginning & kept it till the end of the 1st half. But, Angulo made a great goal at the '41 to put Valencia ahead. Though the possession reached to 60~40% for Zaragoza.

At the 2nd half Zaragoza took the same start. But, here Valencia played better. The number of chances for both the two team were going down, because most of the play was at the midfield.

I must say the defense did great today. All the three lines did their covering roles the right way.

This is another win taking my team Valencia forward.

Valencia missed lets say about 3 serious chances at the 1st half. Levante wasn't really easy, they tried controlling the midfield & play forward. But, showing nothing. At the 2nd half, Valencia took the chance of one of Levante's defenders getting injured, where they started to score, followed by the other two goals. Canizares saved a couple of chances. I must say David Silva was the man of the game, he was that active & been perfect!
Here the 3 points of this game is putting us close to the top.


The derby of Barcelona went to Espanyol, they were really that great! Barcelona has a problem in their back line.

I am really shocked to see Barçelona loose at that result! Very shocking indeed, but you said Espanyol played very well and that means they deserved it. Guess Barça need to reinforce their defence

Thanks Nightface for providing the goals, it appears that Valencia had a hard time trying to score and all their goals came as a result of trying hard.

After watching Espanyol's goals, I would admit, not only the D-line in Barçelona is in crisis, but it is the mid-field as well. Look how easily counter attacks by Espanyol are getting started, then lead to a goal.

Valencia VS Atletico de Madrid, this was one good match between the two. Valencia was good at the 1st half, attacked well till they scored that great goal by Ayala's head.

At the 2nd half, Valencia continue the same thing, where by a quick play from Villa to Vicente passing the ball to Morientes who was in the box to put a single touch scoring the 2nd goal.

Guess after the 2nd goal & in about 3 minutes, Atletico de Madrid came back by a shoot from Mista.

In 10 minutes, Valencia did another quick play, where this time Albelda passed the ball to Vicente & something similar to the 2nd goal, Morientes was there again to score.

Though Valencia faced a hard time after that. Where two players, Vicente & Canizares got injured.


So far this is putting Valencia at the 3rd place, waiting for tomorrow's matches.

I guess the results were more for Valencia this week. Osasuna attacking & more for Barcelona, all to end it with a draw. Samuel Eto'o came back in this match.

It really miust have been great for Barça and their fans to have Eto'o back 2 weeks before the Champions League Clash against Liverpool.

Seems that all results today were on Valencia's side.

I was waiting 4 Barca loss:p ,, but the luck was in their side .

If Barcelona keep playing as the last match .. I will dedicate the league to
Sevilla;)

Valencia played really bad, even with these chances they created & missed. They let the match go when they gave the chance to Getafe to push & put pressure.
Getafe scored two goals at a short period of time, when Valencia tried to come back, they scored the 3rd.

With such play, winning one match & losing the other, I see them far from the title.

Valencia VS Barcelona, great match & a big push for Valencia & especially this need it at this time.
Barcelona had the most ball possession, & there was this difference in numbers. But, to control more the ball without scoring & more to win, its not helping.
Comparing the chances of Barcelona missed to the at least three real chances Valencia did miss, Valencia's were more dangerous.

Valencia showed an average performance even with Del Horno, Baraja & Vicente getting back.
I guess they were all thinking of the upcoming match of the UEFA Champions League this Wednesday.
They were kinda far from each other, they couldn't show the usual fast attack. But, good they scored. It keeps Valencia on the track following the other to La Liga title.



Sevilla VS Barcelona, what a game!! Barcelona scored from at the '14. Sevilla's Carrión got a red card at the '28. Ronaldinho missed a penalty, they couldn't get advantage of Sevilla playing with 10 players.
Sevilla came back in the 1st half. Scored the 2nd at the 2nd half, Sending Eto'o & Saviola in to attack, Guily & Zambrotta got red cards.
Sevilla missing at least 2 or 3 real chances at the last minutes, like they are saying these two goals are enough.

This was one hell interesting of Clásico, whatever they missed showing in La Liga this season, it appeared in this match.
Real Madrid played on the empty spaces at the back, where they scored their two goals at the 1st half. Great performance by Messi made him score two goals during the first 45 minutes.
For the big number of fouls at that half & with all these yellow cards, I expected to see a red one, & exactly at the '45, there was one.

Barcelona wanted to keep Real Madrid under the pressure of their play style, & it appeared that they are in hurry applying it, especially after Real Madrid scoring the 2nd & Barcelona wanting the draw. They were rushing themselves.

I guess Barcelona's plan wasn't going to be effective since they one player less. Even though they pushed at the first minutes of the 2nd half. But, Real Madrid took the match after that, missed many chances before Sergio Ramos putting a great head.
Guess Barcelona felt sorry for the chances they lost at the 1st half, & at the '90, where everyone including myself saw Real Madrid winning, Messi came again to save the game for Barcelona by scoring one great run to the goal to scream I am doing a hatrick!


Sevilla gets the benefit of this draw & guess Valencia gets something out of it too.

The best El Clasico for so many years .. The best performance from Real madrid for so many years .. Diara and Gago were in the best performance
in the middel .. Goti is better as a left winger .. Good performance by BOTH
goalkeepers .. Deco and Messi were in their best performance from Barca side ..
