I just thought of suggesting why not lower the requirements of the number of poems for poem competitions to take place... of course the more the merrier... but to eliminate the effort of other poets because there are not enough participants didn't tick right with me :os
I mean even if there were only 2... a poll is always still possible, isn't it?... and if only one participated and no one else took the challenge then THAT ONE deserves the title. No? lol...
Well I dunno, I just thought that would make more sense and would be fair to the others.
Ofcourse according to what the team makes of it.

...I hope you won't mind me mentioning my suggestion in your thread, just to save not opening another thread......:)
my suggestion is:
......why does the moderator has to choose the topic? why not introduce 2 or 4 topics for people to choose from by voting, and that we give a chance for every one to choose something that they can right about.....
....though i know that to set a challenge is good, but not every one has the same talent or capeability to write any thing and every thing......:)

I agree...and thats what i do for the photocompetition. as long as i get at least 2 submissions then the show will go on.

ahha!! That's very good nabs :)... then I hope implementing that in other competitions will be possible as well...
I will see how far members will go in submitting poems ( for the current contest ) and I will try to be fair for those who participate.
As for letting members choose the topic, I don't agree on that, choosing it by Mod will give members who are really interested to be challanged.
