With the wide spread of technology and telecommunication where people can be contact in a second without needing to see each other … we realize that the social communication and being with real people had been reduced to the minimum if not disappeared in many occasions.

People nowadays use internet, phone, SMS … to communicate and ask about each other even if they are in the house next to you :os

Who do you think is fault … people or technology ?

Do you think this is an advantage of technology or disadvantage ?

....Its people's fault for if it wasn't of people's demand and their active mind, technology would have never existed......

....Technology should be a blessing thing to have happend to us as human nation.....

....Its is a method to make the person who is far to feel near by communicating through the phone and internet or sms texting.......instead of waiting for months and years to receive letters from our beloved ones who are far from us.......

.......But for those who are using such tech. to commuincate with peopel who are near to them, then i will call them lazy and abusers, for they can make an effort to walk for 5 minutes next door to see the other person and talk to instead of using the phone or the internet....

...We should encourage to see people and sit with them and talk, for the taste to sit with a person face to face and talk is beautiful comparing to talking through the phone.... sometimes its a bit dull.......:bored:

....It is nice to use tech. but always have to balance in the usage and in the need of using it.....plus not to forget you save more by talking to a person face to face rather than using the phone or internet.....even if you had a free air time talking minutes or texting.....for infact its never free, cause you end up paying for the line rental.......:hmm:

The opposit i think technology made it easier for ppl to communicate and keep in touch specialy for those who are overseas.
If some one is using it in a bad way then it is not on techlogy to blame.

It's the people's fault, cause they just start depending too much on technology they think that they can't function without it.

Like they said above, it's the peoples fault. We should put some effort sometimes and not put it all on technology.

i think all these technologies are for sure an advantage for everyone!
and it's a personal matter how anyone uses it.

In a recent issue of Seventeen magazine, some girls were having health issues due to a messed up sleeping pattern.
They were put on a challenge, or program, one of the rules being that they switch off their mobile phones/blackberries or whatever ONE HOUR before going to bed. After three weeks, all of them admitted they felt healthier, slept a lot better, even were concentrating much better in class.

The technology is still there, it just needs to be used more wisely.

I guess it's more of how people use technology to make their life easier and in the same time not to let all their life depend totally on it !

Its my fault....

Technology is an advantage. Technology saves alot of $$$$$, Im living on the other side of the world and I use the computer to chat to my friends and family to keep in contact with them at all times. I save $$$ on fone bills plus I get a bonus where I get to see them on camera. :hyper:

I think it's people's fault but then, they don't have a choice! If they can keep intouch reliably and more comfortably without having to leave the house, then why not? We, as human, always seek for what's more convenient for us, so why trouble ourselves?
I am not supporting the idea, but it just how things go nowadays. Of course it would always be better to visit each other and stay strong, but the world is getting very busy, so accepting any form of keeping intouch is very much appreciated.

it's people that made technology, and people that abuse it..
Either way, it's still the people's fault.

I don't know what is the big deal if people use technology in order to keep in touch about their family and friends?! I think it is the older generation which is always crying about this. Just wait another decade and we will be happy if we even receive a SMS.

I've taken laziness to a whole new realm. I message (online, not sms) when they're sitting in the room next to mine, in the same house... 2 days back, I called someone who was sitting at the other end of the table at a friend's wedding reception party, just to ask what she was ordering and if she wanted to split, lol!

Have done 3-ways too, but that was for NFL drafts between roommates.
