I used to use this term alot "Old Thinking".

But, is there such thing???
And is it suppose to mean that someone is thinking like an old person??
OR it is that he/she uses old values and considerations when thinking??
OR it is something else?

I would interpret it as "backwards, uneducated". Not necessarily old-fashioned, because there are lots of old-fashioned values that I still think are beneficial and of use to us.

Old thinking... maybe thoughts and ideas which people don't really value as much anymore, or which were fashionable before.

if u say old thinking.. then there should be an alternative term.. which would be NEW thinking!!

.. if u say NEW thinking.. then .. there will be a FUTURE thinking!!

.. that means ur values and considerations will be useless n trivial one day!!

In my opnion, old thinking are all the old fashion valueable thoughts that people don't anymore consider in their life and sometimes forget about it. It doens't has to be bad or useless, most of the time they are very useful and helpful just if we manage to understand it in it's real meaning.

There are some nice definitions up here....

Old thinking... maybe thoughts and ideas which people don't really value as much anymore, or which were fashionable before.
May be...:eh: but i like it...and i am sort of going toward such definitions..

I would interpret it as "backwards, uneducated". Not necessarily old-fashioned, because there are lots of old-fashioned values that I still think are beneficial and of use to us.
i would agree on that as well

I consider "Old Thinking" as the thinking of the backward ppl, ubnormal...
Whom r un-advanced & will always b old fashoned...
Those r the ppl whom will always stay behind while others get ahead..

thats true ! there will be a future thinink after like 20-30 from now!

the way i think is different than my mom thinks...my way of thinking is even different than my sister who's about 26 years old!

It's just that old people have been through more experiences than we are right now, so when they advice us or talk to us about something, they refer to their experiences.

It's great to value some inherited things but not all of them! coz life changed and people now are more educated than before
some old ways of thinking are like wut Libellula said "backwards" and "uneducated" like the tribal issues and some things about black magic
we should keep our minds opend and think the right way and correct these ideas to those old people if we could
and most of all we should not teach our children these false ideas!

like when a men will say something to a girl and if that goes against the girl, she 'll say that the men is a macho....
or if u say "ur stup!d" to a black guy he'll say "u'r racist"
that's old thinking *i think*
