Do you think this man is credible and would you like to have him as a spokesman for your cause ?
I think he is a disgrace.
DeSerTDesTroYeR 16-08-06, 12:46 AM What does the video really tell? It looks like a therapy session. Any more details about it. Or do you think this short scene cut is enough to draw any conclusions?
Why do you despise him? Because you dissagree with him or because o the way he talks and how he gives his opinion?
I find his honesty very impressive, and he always base on TRUE facts.
He is a member of Parliment who is supposed to uphold the dignity of his office.
He participated in a reality tv show called Big Brother from which that clip is.
But DD you are right on one thing, it looks like he needs therapy.
DeSerTDesTroYeR 16-08-06, 01:09 AM So that clip is from big brother reality show! Interesting. Tell me, since you would know more about the culture in UK more then me at least. Is big brother something bad? Are the people who participate in it labelled bad? And do you know why exactly he did that scene in big brother, the video is a small clip and doesnt explain much, can you elaborate more of how it even started or why?
You can find all the information you need here :

What did you think of the Star Academy program ?
This is like Star Academy without the singing bit. It has its bits of sex and nuditity.
Do you think a your politicians should participate in an adult version of Star Academy ?
ToomuchaT 16-08-06, 02:09 AM .. thanks for showing how low and shallow the western community can be!! :) :star:

I am totally aware of big brother and what it is exactly. So I guess I can skip the star academy...
About our politicians, I dont think we can start comparing yet. Since the attempt for big brother with normal people didnt last a week or two in the arab world.
So now back to George and the UK Big Brother. Could you answer the question you asked me. Is it ok for UK politicians to participate in such a program? If yes or no; why?
As far as I know UK is a country that freedom of choice is granted to every indivisual. So... waiting for your answer to the politicians question so we can understand more your point of view here.
No, I do not think that politicians should be appearing on shows like Big Brother. It is demeaning, and below the diginity of the office they have been elected to.
George has absolute freedom to participate in shows like Big Brother.
But that doesn't stop him from using good judgement.
DeSerTDesTroYeR 16-08-06, 07:44 AM Alright we established that, now about that short clip. Any chance there is more about it instead of some thing as vague as this one. Just viewing it doesnt make much sense and any conclusion can be made. So for a fair conclusion, I suppose a more elaborate reason of what really was happening in that video would be useful to know what to think of it.
well im glad 1 man in the westeren world is still sain !
It's amusing that you consider this gentleman, an elected member of the British Parliment, participating in a reality show, acting like a cat, licking cream of another participants foot, sane.
You are welcome to all the George Galloways in the world.
Do you follow each Politician trivia after you you hear or read on article fr him her?
Only those that make the most noise.
Shinoda LP 16-08-06, 10:08 PM If Satan were to side with Muslim terrorists, these members here would love it and call him a hero.
Wait a second, I think he already has...
FaRaSHa 16-08-06, 10:19 PM .... Wait a second, i have seen this episod of big brother, as it was quiet a collection of people who were gathered in that house, strarting with a famouse politician, theater artist, musicians to amature pop stars....
.....The aim behind this collection of people was never understood, but then the outcome was poor for every one of them specially with their reputation......
.....This clip that was posted by wudjab, is just a part out of a big part of a task was asked by big brother to be performed by the housemates........
.....I my self had seen the tasks when were undertaken, though i am not a big fan of such crapy programme, but i had nothing much to do on that day......
..... So he did not degrade him self in there, BUT he was following instructions....
PEOPLE MAKE SURE OF THE SOURCE AND THE REASONS BEHIND SOME ONES ACTION BEFORE YOU SPREAD FALS RUMERS..............:alien:
Nothing was misrepresented.
Even his constitutents (you know, elections, the people who voted him into office, were offended at his behaviour).

...Well, i have followed the news 2....and they were offended from the first moment he joind the show........and this is why they were against him when he came out of the show..........
.....the only thing he had doen wrong in that show is for him to claim that he is not racist, though in the show it self he had offended two of the members who are not white persons in and havent got any European ethinc.......
FaRaSHa 16-08-06, 10:56 PM ewww !! wtf was that !
he is an animal indeed!
...He supports the muslims in UK and figths for their rights....
.....Do you still want to call him an animal for only a stupid act that he had to take for the sake of a game?,.....
everyone's entitled to be a little 'crazy' from time to time..doesn't make his interview with sky news less credible in my opinion.
Kamakazy 17-08-06, 02:51 AM forget about who he is or what he did... listen to what he has to say...
i wonder why that lady didnt take in anything that he said... she was speechless... its like she was robot... it was a lovely debate and i like his answers... i wonder why most of the west does not see the evil that Israel is causing in the region for all these years...
i find it funny how her clock goes back to a month, and thinks that the events that occured are freash...
i dont support war and that is whats Israel & Hizbullah are doing, i also dont support all the killing that Israel has dont... so in this war I see Israel as the bad guys...
Do wut u do wudjab
we still respect this man so..DIE :p lo0ol :mushroom:

and thanx for the explaination farasha :flower:
Shinoda LP 17-08-06, 07:13 PM Since we are on the topic of 'freedom' of one doing whatever he/she feels like doing, how would you all feel as Omani citizens if your premier were to appear on some show and end up licking someone's feet? I know he won't because he's a respected person and wouldn't do that to hold up his follower's dignity, but just in case he did so... then what?
If you have a hard time thinking about your Sultan doing that, then substitute a miniter instead.
I'll wait for you all to compare and contrast regional lifestyle differences now. :cutesilen

....If you were to compare, so why don't you compare if it was Ghandi instead of the Sultan?....
Turning it around, if Galloway wasn't pandering so blatently to his moslem constituency (he has been elected from a largely moslem neighbourhood), I am sure that all the members here, who are cheering the loudest, would be finding his behaviour despicable and demeaning.

i dont really know what he said or did for the muslims in the UK...but what he did was really disgusting and animal like.
George Galloway is a man of honour. One of the very few politicians that I actually respect and no amount of Big Brother tasks would ever make me lose respect for him.
He is a f***in hero!
*NK 105* 19-08-06, 04:19 PM well, take a look at this, and see what he says on Sky News (if u haven't seen it already), and judge for yourselves if he's a disgrace or not.

Wudjab, dude, seriously, do you spend your day bringing out the worst in people? He had A MOMENT of madness, where-as you'll be a pain in the a** for the rest of your life. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but you just point fingers at everything negative in the world and in people. Were you bullied as a child?
Wether he supports muslims or not, he is only human and made a mistake. Yeah, it was a pretty disgusting mistake to make, but at the end of the day I don't think the topic's worthy of discussion. Freak show's over, let's just all move on and worry about the more life threatening issues that we face in this day and age, 'eh?
Ciao!:D
sensation 21-08-06, 01:11 AM This is funny and stupid! :D

Thanks, it had to be said :D :super:
fatamooo 21-08-06, 01:27 PM Republican Senator (for Arizona) John McCain hosted the comedy show Saturday Night Live once, where he imitated or made fun of Latinos, hippies, and Barbara Streisand. Nothing was ever heard about that, no one questioned his politics and his morals and his opinions because of that.
I do think that Big Brother is a ridiculous show, and I do think that acting like a cat is a ridiculous and disgusting thing to do. I'm not George Galloway's mother, however, to try to justify what he did so that people can like him better and he can be more popular.
I don't care if he's the most hated man in the world and if he eats God knows what for an international audience just for laughs. I don't care IF he had a fetish for S&M, or IF he likes to eat chocolate with ketchup, or IF he thinks that the tree in his backyard is his deity and worships it night and day. These things affect him and only him (and maybe an unfortunate second person in some cases :p) and obviously does nothing to diminish or influence his political opinions or his HUMANITARIAN opinions. I only care that there is finally a voice in Western news that is actually showing the other side of the issue.
