.....If we were to have Miss Islam World......

.....and the whole competition is based on how she is dressing up, her behaviour and the way of dealings with others, her knowledge in Religion and how is she complying with the basic requirements, in her memorising and recitation in Quran and Hadiths, Her level in education......etc every thing that complies with the Islamic requriment for a Muslim Lady.......

*Do you think it would be a good idea to have such thing in our Socities?
*Do you think this will encourage Muslim girls to take religion better and learn more about it?

**Would you join if you were giving the chance?

...I personally will join if we were to have one, but only for the sake of improving my self and finding an extra motivation to be more serious regarding Religious Education.......:)

....I would not really bother to win such title, but i would be bothered to find out what i will end with in regards to knowledge.....

No. I think in Islam, it would not be encouraged to expose Muslim ladies this way and place them under the limelight in such a way. In addition, I think that religion is a personal thing, it should not be commercialized and made into a competition to impress people. It's between you and your God and it should not be for "show".

.....Lym: it will only be commercialised if people wants to make it one.....
.....Plus every one does things according to what they have in their heart [ Al-nyya].....
.......But why dont you look at it as an Islamic School or Centre to educate ladies to become better muslims or teach them ways to understand Islam even better........

....Plus the judges are to be women too and not men, so they wont be exposed to every one and the event should be taking by women crowds and not a mixed one.........

.....look at the benifits that can come out of this event, as you will see more positives than negatives.....

......I beleive that people do give better results when they are in favour to compite with others, and they tend to work hard for giving the best of them.....not necessary to show off but for their own benefit.....

....Plus Allah SWT is the only one to judge at the end of the day, so we cant discourage methods of learning just because we think that it is going to end in a commercialised way.....

People love titles and labels. If you give them a title, they would love to be referred to it and praised for it, that's why I think this is an ill motivation for Muslim ladies to familiarize themselves with their religion only because of it.

Institutes can be opened and women encouraged to learn about their religion without having a competition of this kind. I think that a competition of grades perhaps such as in a class would be relatively okay because it would motivate the students to learn more about their religion and be the best but I think an official title is not the way to go. Bear in mind, they're there because they want to learn, not because they want to be known as Miss Islam

Interesting...
Such ideas are to be developed between girls themselves, without interference from men world. By that we will eleminate the idea of exposing muslim girls to whatever.
By that i mean, small girls societies (in a small scale) can arrange such events privatelly.

i'll go with Lym about the Miss title...

but to be honest i'd rather a girl earn Miss Islam than exposing herself to earn Miss world
besides it's not even a title she earned by hard work..she was born beautiful GOD!!

....Hey people, i am not requesting a girl to read QURAN infront of millions of people........ or to show off with her cloth or hijab in the way the models do..........

......Please read my 1st post again and see under what bases did i suggest such compitaion to take place.......

....damn its very hard to clear things in here..............:mmhmm:

....................It is not to be an International or even a National broadcasting on the TV channels....... its could be done within the socity or the community centre......................

yeah i agree with Lym, muslim woman is about modesty - every woman has her own good characteristics and beauty - no woman should be made to feel inferior to another. this whole title thing will just cause jealousy and fighting amongst the believer woman and i reckon no good respectable family will allow their daughters to compete. Let all men and women compete in good deeds before our Judge Allah (swt). Humans are the worst judges and can never be fair.

why not .. i think itz a great idea .... ... now women works with men and go out .... they are wearing their complete islamic dress .... so i think itz great to have such competition so that women a round the world will be a ware of who are the muslim women really ... what should they do an behave ... ...its not a fashion one .. itz about morall and islam .. so such ideas should be ubgraded .. and supported .. .
