I have few Qs I need to ask, its not a survey but its something I was discussing earlier today with some friends.

To girls:

~If you a doctor would be ok with treating male patients? Or are there some limits you won’t cross?

~Would you be ok with seeing a female Dr?
~If your wife was a Dr, would you let her treat male patients?

It is Ok, for me to be treated by female Dr. Although sometimes it can embrassing to fully explain some conditions...:mmhmm: :os
If my future wife is a doctor (are u?:lift: ), it will very Ok for me for her treat male patients. Because for sure i will be trusting her..:angel:

yes its ok, i dont think its haram in islam because its for medical reasons.

it is an ordinary for me because sometimes such casesno one can treat it only the expert lady Doctor.:)

Sure, as long as it isnt something too sensitive or personal. In such case, I rather discuss it with a male doctor; unless I was seriously sick and barely managed to get to that hospitals and there was none but the female doctor.

Sure, it's her job and so it's her choice to make. But of course I wouldn't really like it. But despite that it wouldnt be a problem I create against her, unless her male patients were being too flirty and she couldnt handle them or couldnt do something about it. That is in the sense of a large percentage not some few cases here and there.

If i'm a doctor I would treat anyone whose in need to be treated. It would be my job to help and not say no just because they're male. I honestly dont think theres any harm in that :s

female Dr! why not!..Nothing wrong with that, she will be doing her job and I am just another patient to her..If my wife was a Dr treating male patients I would be ok with it if she had too..

I think it should be fine. I am going to get used to seeing so many patients that I might end up not knowing the difference between men and women :D

I wouldn't be a doctor at all! I wouldn't treat male or female patients!
I don't know why.. It's just not my thing..

As for being treated by a male doc.. The furthest I've been treated by a male doc was when I'd undergone surgery (belly) .. and that was just.. ugh..
I always make sure it's a female doctor I'm seeing, whatever the treatment was for.. I feel REALLY embarrassed! :shy:

well to be in a doctor's shoe, i serioulsy wouldn't mind anything... because at the end of the day you wanna help, and see that smile on your pateint's face!

I wouldn't be a Dr. but if I was....OF COURSE!!!

Obviously in the five or whatever years of studying medicine, to refuse treating a male patient would be a bit strange! Unless I decided to become a gyno of course.

I prefer to see female doctors when it comes to proctology. Rather a woman then a man stick his wats it up my u know wats.

True, but dont you think its not easy for a feamle Dr who was raised in a traditional arab soceity to ask a male patient to strip and examine his e.g. chest? If you were in her shoes, how would you feel?

I am amazed that many of the male members here, find it ok for their wives to treat male patients. Some of the female Drs at my work place are not allowed to see males :s.
