Do you believe in this? "Memories just keep coming through, the good ones hurt more than the bad ones do"? if you think the good ones hurt more, why is that? because we want them back? or is it because they remind us of how foolish we were to let them go, then create the feeling or guilt and regret?

And, if you think the bad ones hurt more, why so? is it because they're too hard and bad to bare? are humans that weak, that they can't let go bad memories?

Actually, it really depends on the type of memories. Either good or bad with a good life experience that can result with a cherishable memory.

To answer your question. Then no I dont believe in that quote. I believe the good one's are more cherishable. They bring back a smile, not ache the heart. But again it all depends again on each person and how they consider things their feelings and react to it.

Well, I think bad ones hurt more, and I wish I never had bad memories, bcoz, I dont learn my lessons from the 1st time:D, which means i have to keep taking those bad memories...

Bad memories hurt friggin more, when they come they like pulse freeze you and give you these killer painful goose pumps. Good memories might hurt too, but not like the bad ones. Although most time good memoreies cheer you up and make you smile.

wtf how is it good memories hurt anyway? :os

anywhoo personally when i go trying to remember the depressing moments in my life that happened many many years ago, they strangely do not hurt and i shrug them off. However if they were somewhat recent then yes they would hurt.

my good memories never hurt...they make me smile everytime they come into my mind and i want them there saved in my head and heart.

the bad memories hurt cause i just wanna undo them like they never happened...and maybe sometimes guilt could hurt you everytime u remember a bad memory...

but anyways the good and the bad add more criedt to our experinceses and lessons in life.

the good memories will only hurt if you know theres no chance of having them happen again..usually connected to a specific person.. the loss of a loved one...
bad memories.... are my favourite mistakes.. u learn from them.

Bad memories hurt when you are guilty of them, bad memories hurt if you were abused by them, bad memories hurt when you have not let go of the anger, bad memories should be a lesson that u learn from and Good memories bring a smile and laughter to ur face each time u remember the good old days....

the good ones hurt more, because they've passed, but the bad ones are just annoying, u should be happy they passed.

Good memories hurt more than bad ones. It's probably because we just don't pay attention when everything is going our way so we don't take full advantage of that good moment. It hurts more because we regret the fact that we didn't enjoy that moment to it's fullest.
Bad memories are just horrible you're just glad you don't have to go through them again.

Sometimes the good memories hurt because we miss them.. the bad memories hurt because we regret doing them.

I wouldn't go with the quote, coz it depends and sometimes the bad ones hurt as much as remembering the good ones, you'll feel the bitterness of like in example how the bad ones came in the way and ended the chance of having any more good memories to have and keep. and you feel horrible and feel the regret. Though, I always feel the good ones hurt more because they're gone and in a specific case, they'll never come back with the person you've had these moments with. and the bad ones, you'd just wanna block 'em out, try not to remember 'em coz they remind you of your mistakes or so, or things you wish you could un-do.

I think bad memories hurt more. They kill me deep inside that it hurts to know that it actually happened at some point in my life.
Good memories, even if gone, have their taste. I love remembering having good times. It keeps me going forward :)

i dont belive in that the good memories makes you feel bad, maybe if it was the time or person in it is someone special and dear, in that time yes i would feel bad and miss it.

bad memories does make me feel sad or despressed or frustrated. why? well cuz i regret doing it. dunno why :\

Good ones make you smile, and may a shred a tear of happiness, which hurts badly.
Good ones hurt the hell out of you more if you cant have them back.
Bad ones leave alot of experience with sad facilietes, which hurt as well.

So I would say both cases hurt, but the happy ones you cant have back hurt more. but no one can deny that bad ones dont =)
they are even.

I personally enjoy all my memories..the good and bad ones because they are based on experiences I had and there's no doubt that I have learnt alot from all of those experiences and they made me who I am today. No doubt that some of them can frustrate you or hurt you as this thread stated but I would still rather have them than not. finally I believe that happy memories can hurt alot more than sad ones especially if you're in a difficult time of your life and just remember how good your life once was.

Memories are there to teach us what we've done wrong through experience I guess.

But what I think is, good memories are the ones that hurt the most. Having good memories that can't be taken back hurts inside. But bad memories, they just teach you the wrong you did so you wouldn't do them again. You'll forget them if you start what you did wrong with good the next time.

But in the end, they both hurt depending on the issue.
