I dont really understand how the new rep system works. How many greenies until rep power increases? or is it only when u get 100 posts your rep power increses by 1?

We changed the system to avoid the abuse since members had the ability to gain or loose power according to the amount of reps they recieve daily, and so we believe that with this new setting things are rather balanced out.

Which is unfair to members who dont abuse the system.

We should have applied these settings the time we started the Reputation system, its more fair.

After all the Reputation system is more for giving/receiving comments on the members posts than having these points.

Right now we can see the points are dealing with the activity of the members, mean I said earlier its more fair.

^^ fair as in .. the more chit chat post u make the more rep points u will gain :D

what about losing ur rep ... how many rep points is need to make u lose 1 rep power (through red reps) :D

Reputation messages are very convenient. They are better than sending a PM for each approved reply. Reputation points are cool for kids and for committed members. The more time you waste in here and fill in the server, the more power you'll have. :D

I have two questions.
1. What is the difference between the colour strips and the rep power under the avatar?
2. What is the difference between a notice and a warning?

1 : i dont remember ^^
2 : i think it's 3 notices = 1 warning ; 3 warnings = 1 month banned and 2nd banned is for life

3 notices make one warning. 3 warnings is a one month ban. Sometimes you might just get a warning straightaway if you said or did something really offensive.

And sometimes you get "sabla makruma" and all warnings will be cleared.

Here it is in detail :

For every 100 posts you gain 1 reputation power.

For every 365 days of registration you gain 1 reputation power.

For every 10,000 reputation points you gain 1 reputation power.

That should reduce the number of points u have..
and that used to have a direct effect to ur rep. power but with the new system...Now it doesn't.:bored:

Reputation power appears under your avatar. And that amount is what is given when you repute someone and it's added to their reputation points.

Giving reputation is all about a short comment you want to give any member on any post. So sure if you got a "thank you" and you wanted to say "your welcome" back then no worries. You have all the freedom on how to use the reputation as long as what you say doesnt break any rule.

you should do a sticky where u clearly explain all about the rep system then when a new member come s/he don't have to open a thread :)

Ok... good example. Now I have a Rep Power of 202. When for example I give you a reputation. It will add 202 points to your total reputation points.

You can see your reputation points in the UserCP. On the right side of Latest Reputation Received.

i am lost in this one really....i have asked around, and so many people are saying something different?????

take it like this valentina... from what I understood...
if you give someone a green rep... their rep points will be added by the number of rep power you have,,, which is 2.

same procedure with the other members... now when their rep points are raised by (either 1000 or 10 000- *have to check)... then their rep power rises by one... so if you had 127 like me it'll become 128.

that's what I got :os... someone correct me if I'm wrong...

When you reach 100 posts, you get one rep power plus to that.

1000 points (in latest reputation received) = 1 point of rep power
100 post (not in trivia sabla) = 1 point of rep power
1 year here = 1 point of rep power
look at me lol
i have : 155 of rep power , ok ?
- 1285395 points total (in latest reputation received) = 128 points of rep power
- 2,692 post = 26 points of rep power
- one year speand here = one point of rep power

128+26+1=155 :D
