May i recommend a high court for the english sabla. There shud be a panel of 3 judges, who should hear the cases of their choosing (not all) and then come to a decision whether the thread was locked fairly or not. I think this wud shud be the special job of 3 free people. One moderator, One senior member and One junior member.

Why shudnt their be a panel to discuss fairness? Are you moderators too afraid to realise that you have indeed surpassed your scope of power? Is it too much to ask that you show the members that there is a little justice, due process and fair outcomes in your apparent abuse of power? Hmm. What wrong with a little distribution of judgement among the sabla? A little decentralisation hmmm? IS it so hard to relinquish a tiny bit of your powers so that democracy can prevail?

Can you further explain how exactly your idea can be implemented? And an example would be helpful.

but it is a city in cyber space. For example you can have a sub sabla (mahkama) where a panel of judges will be available to discuss and then vote whether the thread shud be locked or unlocked. Members will be able to presemt their cases here as well who feel that they have not yet finished discussing their topics or feel that they were unfairly judged.

Can you further elaborate with a more realistic scenario. Since you do not really mention anything about the time interval that it would take to lock a thread, which is required to be locked or moved. And about those who want to complain about the decisions, how is that different from what is currently being implemented. And how can you make sure there will be no injustice and everyone will be treated fairly.

I suspect that Tiny Planets is Orion himself as he mentioned in his previous locked thread that Orion can't be found. Indeed when I search for this particular nick, the Sabla says the following:Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

A thread of justice is better than no justice at all. Whenever a thread gets locked. The thread starter will take it to the high court forum. The panel of judges will discuss and members can make statements for or against the threads quality/validity/accuracy etc etc.. A legal system is quite needed in this godforsaken sabla where there is no law to serve and protect the innocent and make sure that the branches of power are held accountable for their actions.

I can assure i am not Orion. Orion lives a good 30km away from me on the other side of town. Hes tall and thin and im short and fat. Naturally i am more intelligent then Orion is and im sure he wud confirm that with you anyday.

So, why don't u open a thread in trivia or somewhere...
and make unofficial court...then see how is it going against u or in ur favour.....Don't forget to pick me in the judges..:D :6:

P.S. i like the idea of unofficial courts....:hyper:

On what bases is there no justice currently?

so if the judges decide against you...what's next?... computerized judgement?

we already have a court which consists of no other than the moderators...

If You Want To Leave, " El Bab Eyda5el Jamal ", If You Want To Stay " Ahlan Wa Sahlan " .

Staying means Staying with this forum as it self, that means we all must put our nose down due to the moderators, whether we like it or not, and if locking a couple of threads Bugs the hell out of you, one thread of it is enough no ?

Besides about locking those threads, maybe sometimes it buggs us all, but its sure for our own sake.
