Grosso is coming to inter O_o

Grosso already came to Inter from before the world cup.

--

Azzurri World Cup hero Fabio Grosso has spoken of his delight at securing a move to Inter.

“It’s the biggest step in my career,” stated the Roman left back. “I’m so happy that a club of this size want me and now I want to win things here.”

Grosso also took the time to talk about ex-Azzurri Coach Marcello Lippi. “I had a fantastic year and a half with him in charge of the national team,” he said. “He always showed faith in me and I think I repaid him. His decision to quit is a personal choice and should be respected.”

A few eyebrows were raised when Inter announced their interest in the Azzurri left back in May. However, after Grosso’s dream World Cup, few will doubt the wisdom of Inter’s decision to sign the 29-year-old.

In fact Palermo appear to have lost out having only received £4m for a player whose value has increased greatly over the last month.

It may prove another piece of poor business by the Sicilian side’s President Maurizio Zamparini, who admits to bitterly regretting the sale of Luca Toni to Fiorentina for a modest fee of around £7m last summer.
