This month conest the topic will be: funny poems :D ...You can write about anything as long as its funny. We have lots of talented poets here so I am sure many will come up with interesting stuff.


Rules:

~ One poem (one that has not been published before) per member.
~ All poems will be displayed (anonymously) in a poll in the Members Interviews & Polls Sabla
~ The winner will be announced on the 1st of June 2006

Last day of poems entry: 25th of May 2006
First day of voting: 26th of May 2006
Last day of voting: 31st of May 2006

I told you it's hard. You've got to really think hard and be funny, and in this case, it's like telling a story in a poem, which doesnt suit at all....

I will not participate this time, as it is not easy to write something funny. Most importantly what may be funny for one, might be silly if not offensive to someone else.

Blossom, I believe that if we have less than 5 submitted poems, a competition is not possible. Now, as we all know that we should normally wait for mid-september for the next competion, why not do one of the following:

1) Give an extra 2 weeks to submit more 'funny' poems
or
2) As this competion was cancelled, make the next competition next month (in August) instead of September, with a new theme.

Ok since I got PM from the MOD stating that the competition is canceled because many could not write funny poem and I have written this one for the competition I will share it here with you ..

Although I believe strongly that even if its 2 or 1 poem there should be a competition and if there is one then it should win automatically .That’s why its called competition Right who can compete .... Anyway here is the poem I wrote for the alleged competition ....


Here is my story when I was young
Shaky little Teen believed that I was strong
Had a wrong caller on the line
Hearing her voice saying Hello I turned into a swine
Made all them cool voices sounded like superman
Hey hey I said your name is Suzanne
She said yes
Let me invite you to my world baby
I call it my private shrine
Of course at that age its a $hitty planet was smaller than a van
She had a voice like an angel sweet like a candy
And me phew sweating and Randy
She said maybe you will be disappointed if you see me
