"There have been described in the Old Testament 300 prophecies of the first coming of the Messiah and 500 of the second coming, all of then made hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus and fulfilled to the letter in Jesus Christ, the Messiah."

"George Heron, a French mathematician, calculated that the odds of one man fulfilling only 40 of those prophecies are 1 in 10 to the power of 157. That is a 1 followed by 157 zeros. Compare it to this; your odds on winning the state lottery are 14 followed by 6 zeros".

Hopefully, this website will give my Muslim friends information on the incredible amount of prophecies in the Old Testament about the coming of a Messiah

pino, muslims have no problem in believing that Jesus is christ, actually a muslim isn't a muslim if he denies Jesus PBUH as christ, the problem occurs when he is claimed to be the son of God and/or God himself, and it is not mentioned anywhere in the old testament that the Messiah will be/is the son of God nor God himself...

Book of Psalms:

2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?" He (Jesus) replied, "You are right in saying I am." (Luke 22:70)

Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father..." Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father ... Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me?" (John 14:8-10)

He failed to fulfill many prophecies

you cant use the new testament to prove that Jesus is the son of God.... And according to my arabic bible, its david whos saying that he's speaking to people from God's side, and that God said to him that he's God's Son....

again, translations play alot in changing the meaning

"He failed to fulfill many prophecies"

George Heron, a French mathematician, calculated that the odds of one man fulfilling only 40 of those prophecies are 1 in 10 to the power of 157. That is a 1 followed by 157 zeros. Compare it to this; your odds on winning the state lottery are 14 followed by 6 zeros".

Jesus fulfilled many prophecies

unlike someone else I could mention..........

Pino, it is known that many bibles were changed and lines of Jesus fulfilling the prophecy were added to the bible, lemme give you an example, how come not all bibles mention that Jesus said "God, God, why have you forsaken me?" it is one of the lines that the church doubted in the past that it was added, YET, by having that line in the bible, Jesus would have fulfilled the prophecy of zachria (or david, can't remember)
so this shows that the line that says that Jesus said "God, God, why have you forsaken me?" was added just to make jesus sound that he fulfilled the prophecy of zachria (or david)....

we all know prophet Isiah, the prophet that prophesied alot of things, and according to christians, they all were about Jesus... but lets take a look at this line:

12
When it is handed to one who cannot read, with the request, "Read this," he replies, "I cannot read."
Isiah 29:12

now ask ANY ANY muslim about the first thing that was said to prophet mohammed when he saw the Angel Gebreil, he asked prophet mohammed to read, prophet mohammed replied: I cannot read... then Gebreil asked him to read again, and prophet mohammed said I cannot read... and the story goes on...

but not all muslims know of this line of Isiah, its something I noticed myself while reading the bible... and we didn't really need prophet Isiah for more than 1400 years to prove to us that prophet mohammed is a prophet...

one more thing, God said to Moses: "I will raise them a Prophet from among their brothers, like you (Moses), and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."

Jesus is not like Moses (peace be upon them):

-Moses was born from both parents, Jesus was born from one parent.

-Moses was exiled, returned n gained victory, Jesus didn't

-Moses was a leader, and a prophet, while Jesus is not a leader,he was a strong prophet (according to islam) and God/Son of God according to Christianity, in both ways, he is not like Moses.

-Moses' Corpse still lays on earth, while according to both Islam and christianity, Jesus is not on earth, he taken away by God

-Moses Had Gods' laws, Jesus didn't come up with new laws, on the contrary, he himself said that he is not contradicting with the previous prophets

the line that was said in Deuteronomy 18:18-22 was not talking about prophet Jesus, therefore, not all prophecies in the OT were about Jesus

Yea but lets face it Christianity makes a lot more sense than the c rap preached by some Imams that suicde bombings guarantees lots of shagging with nubile virgins. Let's be fair!

if you are talking about the christianity that Jesus used to preach, he said himself that it's too hard for them (his followers) to understand how everything is, untill the ONE comes to explain it to them, n that one, according to christianity hasn't come yet, so still christianity isn't complete YET...

and again, the holy Quran doesn't say that who kills innocent people grants heaven nor the "nubile virgins" as a matter of fact it's not mentioned anywhere in the Quran that you get to "shag" them, so please show respect if u wanna be respected...

so whatever the Imams say doesn't mean its true, if thats the case, then the Italian Priest that used to appear on TV in al mustakila channel said once that "I believe that Prophet Mohammed IS a prophet from God" but does that mean the ALL christian priests believe that ? NO! does that, according to you, mean that christianity considers prophet mohammed a true prophet from God ? NO!
so please don't judge the whole religion from a bunch of renegades and Imams who have their own opinions..
and speaking of making sense, the very fundamental belief of your own religion, which is not mentioned anywhere in the bible, doesnt make alot of sense... the 3 in 1 "c rap"
