If you think it's cool to insult people then I'm sorry but most of us don't feel that way. If being fair and being concerned about the other members you attack and insult is failing then so be it. I have nothing against you ti3gib and I enjoy your contribution (duh , I'm the one who invited you to this forum) but you tend to be a little nasty when you start throwing insults and attacks to the non-muslims or people you don't agree with and I am sorry but thats not very mature of you. If you want to be one of the members who make enimies out of the people who disagree with you then that's your choice in the end and I am sorry that you couldn't just be the excellent member I know you can be.

Yet I believe whatever it is, it's not fair to go pointing fingers at one mod and claim that he failed. Failed in what? Encouraging this forum to be free for fights, insults and racism?... I agree with you then, he failed in that... and succeeded in making it a better place for duscussions. I agree, the forum is different that it used to be. Worse? Nah, but its a little less to my tastes...but thats completely normal, it happens with all forums. It seems the mean age has fallen, and so the type of topics differs. Theres still good stuff though so I stick around.

Sabla is a rollercoaster and that is part of its charm....we can jump in and out of the wagon and enjoy the ride when it suits us. The place is opened 24 hours a day, free and usually welcomes anyone back to the ride without discrimination :).

wudjab: It was never an issue if Nabhan did the right thing or not. If a warning was issued then it is totally deserved, the team prefers not to issue them, but when its required we do.

Yeah I use to do that a lot......there are some benefits......like tons of PM's from girls begging you have their babies and stuff like that.....

But actually, one time I had just come back from the sake bar, and read something.............I think it was Ice Tea was named Mr. Sabla.2003 04......got really pissed and quit the sabla.......the next day I couldn't quite remember the details.......or why I was getting all the attention.

Sometimes it's a cry for attention......so what's wrong with that?
People want to feel they are missed and needed even on this forum.

I don't know Nabhan personally, never met him.......don't really know what makes him tick, other then he's a very talented artist......studies in Jordan......is a muslim......devotes his time......outside of his studies to do something on his own time to make a contribution to an Omani forum........he has been given the never ending job of trying to balance the incoming posts from members with so many different agendas......

I think any attack on him personally is way out of order.......

It's not like he's is picking on any one member......in fact there were many times in the "old days"..........when members would insult each other quite often........

Muslims would say this and non muslims would say that......I guess the moderators were more like referees at a open air fist fight match....

But in all honesty........I don't think Non muslim members attacked Omani things......

However there is a home turf advanage for most muslim members.....cause who cares what non muslims say?

In any case......Nabhan is a credit to the English sabla for just trying to be fair to all members......not deteremining their muslim of non muslim status......

When I mention his name, it is because he issued the warning in the name of the team and T3 reacted to that with an attack on Nabhan.

And, Nabhan did the right thing, which was to carry out the decision of the team.

It is an open traffic to different minds, different age groups, different interests and the fluctuation between these differences is bond to make some waves.

If the Sabla is not what it was 6 month ago or 2 years back, it is quite normal as the flow and type of members vary as time passes. What we have today will be different tomorrow. The atmosphere and the topics might go down, stay stable or improve. You just have to temporary take few steps back when the Sabla wavev are not to your liking or simply take the plunge when the water temperature is right for you. Simple as that :).

There are others honorable ex mod on this thread and myself know many things that others don’t know.
