Its odd, I have met so many ppl who, @ the 1st opportunity, try 2 show their ver worst qualities. They hide their inner strength behind aggression; they hide their fear of loneliness behind an air of independence. They do not believe in their own abilities, but are constantly trumpeting their virtues.

When U meet him/her for the 1st time, do U often take em on their appearances or 1st impression?... & emmmm do u take those impressions 4 granted? as some do... or do u try 2get 2know the person 2c if ur judgment was right or wrong?... also... Y do some ppl like 2 give wrong impressions bout them selves 2others?... I mean they may b sweet n tender, but they'd just show u the opp & u'd b wondering... y do some ppl act or show faces/attitudes which r not of thier habits?

I don't think they try to give out a mean or cruel image (that probably happens unintentionally), but they might try to look tough in front of other people. Basically they don't want to seem too nice because they don't want to be taken advantage of, so they hide their vulnerabilities and soft side behind a hardened exterior.

Some people do that to keep people away cause they don't want to socialize with anyone.

Sometimes I give people the benefit of the doubt, but if they're really mean the first time then I'll probably just write them off as @ssholes and avoid them as much as possible. Why would I waste my time with someone who clearly thinks of me as a waste of time?

yeah i dont think that they "LIKE" to give people wrong impressions about themselves, it probably happens by nature, because that is simply who they are. obviously they dont think its bad, or they dont really care because they are fine the way they are.

these are probably people who are not sure about themselves, dont really have that much of a personality, and possibly still trying to find their true identity. they try different things too see whether or not it will work or help in acheiving their acceptance in their community. The feeling of being loved is always present in everyone, and probably more in these kinds of people. They experiment as much as they can until they clearly see where the boundry lines are, and what suites them best.

i think some people tend to show the worst side in the beginning for various of reason, like alot of the times when your on your best behavoir, and have just met person..the person may be intrested/attracted/or whatever the connection is for a week, more, a month even more,... once you get use to the person you act normal meaning you may be a moody person, but it never accured to the person cause you always had your best act on... you may do something weird, so then some people actually seeing the worst side, tend to flip out... it also could be the other way around...

when i meet a person for the first not intenationly i do take them from their first impression..but i must say that i don't take it for granted, even though i might not want to like hangout with them again..i still often try to get to know them a little better...because it always reminds me of myself...

i know people judge me from my appearence and my first impression and say i am rather quite cold, but really for me it's because i am quite shy meeting people and tend to get really nervous..

True, but some people would try give u the best impression ever bout them selves till u trust ëm, but then after U get comfortable with them & get attached, U would C the worst of them, like just they r two damn different people that u would b just shocked n amused between them & wont b figure to dwarback or go ahead!!

Yeah, I know... I've been across few ppl, some say that dont mean 2 b harsh or mean, that's how they r & some like it that way, they say that people will kinda emm fear tham & treat them in a different manner of they were just so easy going... but emm that a lame excuse, I mean.. what for? ppl can always treat U good if u r good with them..

Damn, I so liked this answer... it made me realise some stuff which were outta ma thoughts..
I guess as U mean these ppl feel unsecure that they would try attempts in other aspects 2 come out with something they thing might benefit them in their relations with the others.

Like this girl once I remeber, went 2 c her fiance 4 d 1st time in a real simple way normal look, wanted 2 c will he really like her in her simplest normal looking or will he only go for a girl whos dressed up in lexury brands n make up & stuff, but in the end, she was true, he liked here like that, with her wordt looks.

emm, yeah, that's kinda like what I meantioned somewhere up in my reply, that some might show the glow side but after feeling comfortable with the, u'd kinda find out their true colors which might cause a drawback or a going ahead.

i think they feel weak and unsecure from inside and they dont want u to know about it ,, so they hide it with a mask of strenth & arrogance ,, coz its the only way to hide thier weakness probably :)

I've came 2 notice that most ppl would relate that to the feeling of being unsecure...
Some cases though have showed me true...
