Rules are set up to be followed and complied in each competition. What I noticed that in each Combo Creation Competition that some members (and even moderators) do break the rules.
- You can submit any avatar and signature that you have designed and is being currently used by yourself or a friend in the sabla.
If you check the current thread (http://www.englishsabla.com/forum/showthread.php?p=711473#post711473), you'd see that some members and a moderator (how shame?) submissions are not qualified because they do not follow the rules set to the competition. Yet, this problem happened before and such submissions been qualified.
Any explanation(s)?

I am not following, do you mean that some members made combos which no one is using?
which ones by the mods are not following the rules?
If you're talking about the 'using' part of it then you can forget that bit. What it's supposed to mean is that basically the design has to be yours. Simple as that. Maybe we can rephrase the whole thing for the next competitions. :)
Rules are to be followed. NaBHaN's submission is to be disqualified ... and what I say is final ! :duh:

Exactly
I actually meant to rephrase this bit, but forgot...in shaa Allah starting from next month.

Obviously this one:

What it's supposed to mean is that basically the design has to be yours.
We do know that you, sabla team, wants to motivate your members with such competitions, however, your rules should be certain and clear. It is shameless that a moderator even don't follow the rules set up by you, sabla team. The rules have been taken strictly serious on the silliest(dimension) things more than the design itself. For instance, zulfa when she submitted that avatar less than 100x100 px, one of the moderators (http://www.englishsabla.com/forum/showpost.php?p=710214&postcount=7) pointed out the rules, although s/he ignored one of them.
If one of the objectives of this competition is to motivate members to design themselves combos, then the rules of the competition should have a mere change.

This is really funny, its not about the rules, its about putting the moderator in such position & sorry for telling you, its invalid case :p
I am that moderator & since long time back I know about the rule & what is meant by. Maybe it wasnt clear for the other, we will rephrase to satisfy everyone & I hope you are satisfied with the answer Fast_HacKinG :D

you know NF can easily remove his current combo and replace it with what he made...where'd be the difference?... the design is his whether he uses it or not...
but since so much attention is given to a specific part of the rule...
I say just wait for the update.
