I know some people who are totally detached from society. They just like to be alone and they would always prefer travelling alone or eating alone at a restaurant. This might be a dangerous sign especially in kids because this will effect their future social relationships.

So I just wanted to ask:

How lonely do you think is too lonely?

Too lonely is complete isolation from the world around you. and purposly avoiding people is a perfect route to being a loner.
I am not sure what is the loneliest i have ever been..but if ever its just because i need my alone time which everyone needs as well...
you are right about children. if they portray this kind of personality then it can be a lil on the danger side

^^ Hmm yeah .. im kind of the same. I wouldn't say im a "loner", but i dont mind and sometimes enjoy my own company. No i don't talk to myself or anything like that, but i don't think there's anything wrong with travelling alone.. or eating alone at a restaurant.. well, it would depend on the restaurant. I'd think it teaches a kid how to be independent.
Hmm.. I guess a person is too lonely when they have the chance to make friends but turn it down for no absolute reason. And the loneliness then kinda eats up at them and starts affecting their lives.

I wouldn't say I'm lonely, because I enjoy people's company, a lot! :D

What I think is too lonely is exactly what NK said..

The lonliest I've been, was for a week I felt I didn't want a lot of noise and stuff, so I just went to the computer lab alone, but ended up with friends in the end.. :think: :os

not having a companion is enough to be considered as too lonely regardless of how many friends and family you might have..

try to look at your life from someone else's point of view and imagine what you do everyday and you will know what I mean.......

YES!!
I remember when I was a kid I always told dady that I'll get a flat and live alone ! and I was REALLY small then
still want to do it but not as bad as when I was a kid

I dont know why but when ever I have a freind it ends up in a HORRIBLE way :Sick:

now days the only friend I have ...................... HER PARENTS HATES ME LIKE HELL EVEN THOUGH THEY NEvER MET ME so I guess I'll be back to my old me alone :D:eh:

Too lonely? When you don't even know anyone you can talk to about the slightest concern, basically when there's not a single person you know who can relate to you a bit or understand you at all.

Loneliest... maybe end of last summer :os it was really bad!

lonely is when you and those surrounding you have nothing in common.
lonely is when you have to go through life alone with no one around to guide you.
lonely is when you lack a companion.
lonely is when you figure that those you thought would assist you turn the other side.

what was my most lonely day?
I think it was a day when I was in my room with no phone, no internet , no TV or anything that would help me interact with the outside world. In addition to people being around whom I did not feel like I wanted to see... so yeah...I was lonely for a day... spent it on books though... which somehow made me enjoy the tranquility :hmm:

Lots of people travel alone to meet new people and kind of "experience the world".. i wouldn't consider that lonely.

the only time I really feel sad and lonely and I start hating lonliness is when Im in a very crouded place where every one is really getting along with each other and Im sitting like a dork alone :D thats when I feel lonely ! Other wise I enjoy going to the beach every day after the down alone :P
