Is sex a necessary evil?

i don't think sex is evil at all. sex is a beautiful and natural thing.. its a way of the combining two married people in love.. hence the term making love.. its a way of parnters expressing love. it also leads to the miracle of life.. having babies. it can be evil if wrongly used: rape, sex between unmarried partners.
if its against its natural course no good can come of it. ba**tard kids, Aids, HIV, sexual assualt and rape. this is only because the people aren't following God's rules. if they do follow God's rules sex can never be evil.

No, it is a natural mean of survival for most species.

Its a way of kindeling the love and a way of sharing the exhangeable love between the Husband and the wife, therefore its not evil at all, besides its all about humble and a structure to a bright future.

Anything can be 'evil' if practiced in the wrong manner; sex included. Generally, it's a blessing in many ways and I guess that makes it a good thing.

i think sex is an act of mercy from God. it brings about kindness between the 2 genders. its a means of probegation, but its very real in heaven where pregnancy is not required. so it has to be a good thing.

just imagine humanity without sex. babies are tube-grown. would there be a need for kindness? would it still survive? would people not grow hard and uncaring? i guess we will never know for sure, but im glad for that.

God did make us sexual and put in us mechanisms to make sure that the opposite sexes seek out each other. that means a sexual need, and the act itself, cant be bad or evil.

terrible things happen involving sex (or rather an abuse of sex) but we all know that its wrong and its a subversion of a most human quality. sex crimes are just that.

the one thing that really and desperately needs to happen, is that men and women be nice to each other. if that where to happen all over the world, then humanity may have a chance to resolve all kinds of problems.

sex is only good when its available for you.. right now it isn't for any of us and despite it being good, we're very easily tempted by it and desire it greatly.

It is strange to even think that, in any normal circumstances, sex could be evil...unless it is performed in a destructive and unacceptable way like through rape, prostitution, molestation or weird sexual rituals like bondage, torture or else.

actually, a study i once read in a readers digest issue stated that having sex on a regular basis (like 1 or 2 times a week) helps prevent heartattacks and prostate canser. it is also a form of excersise with each session being equivalent to jogging 5 miles or so. there is also the emotional 'healing' that comes out of a good sexual relationship.

x-press i think that coz almost all religions had make sex such a sinful thing that's done if unmarried do it.. n hard punishments are even mentioned when the deed is done.. im not really sure about other religions abut as islam stated that punishment of an married person having sex. is wipping the person 80 wips.. n if the person is married then sones should be thrown at the persin till he/she dies.. well that shows how very sinful the deed is.. >> but offcourse this is not practiced today.. but if it was then ppl will be afraid to do it..
