WHY are guys who sleep around kind of admired and looked up to by other guys.......for their prowness, and yet girls who sleep around are looked down on like low class bimbos?
Why will guys talk about girls in the most nasty way, but go ballistic when they heard something about their sisters.......?
Why are there only two types of girls in Oman.....the good girls, and the bad ones? The ones for marriage and the ones for playing?

Am against the double standard thinking in this situation....
Guys are able to be late till late at night...
Girls no way.....
Am not saying we should allow the girls to do the same...
We should also know wht the guys doing all the night...
I agree the situation is worse for girls....but it is also very bad for the boys...
They may be do drugs or out with some bad guys.....no one know....
I suggest that we should apply the same restrictions to both...(with some emphasis for the girls)...
This is the most common double standard worldwide, and probably the most discussed one too. I guess the reason why is because we as a community expect men to do stupid things, whereas we see women as having more respect and control over themselves :angel:
If you think about it though its odd ppl think that way, because women are the more emotional creatures and more likely to give into those emotions where as men are supposed to be more in control of theirs...

exactly man. this is soo unfair because first of all neither of them should be sleepin around, and its like whatever the girl does shez a b**** but if a guy does it its 3adi its just a guy thing, n a girl its 7aram while guys its fine and they always blame it on the girl but they dont know its actually the guy who makes all the moves!

not all of them want sex all the time, use drugs, or hav AIDS. i think everyone knows AIDS is not a joke. they'r not all running around begging for sex or looking for someone who'd hook them up with a couple of pounds of hash or coke. its not that they dont hav morals either, they hav DiFFeReNT morals. they'r limits are different than ours. its a prejudiced opinion and its just a really bad generalization. loads of girls in the west are genuinely good, save sex until they'r married, and dont beleiv in using drugs and manage not to. they'r human after all. they'r not all the same. if they were all the way u said then they'd just be a species made up of raging horny banshees. thats not right. im not sanctifying their choices. im just saying that generalizing them isnt the right way to look at it.

guys who sleep around are somewhat admired by other guys because having sex to them is like a forbidden fruit theyv tasted, and the others admire the fact that he has and they havent. someday they will too, most probably not in a pure way. theyr hearts arent strong enough to resist temptation. they'r just weak. very weak. its disgusting.
the girls who sleep around are looked down apon bcoz to the muslim societies and communities, they are then considered tainted,impure, and most probably not the right girl for their sons to marry.

becoz guys dont realise that once long ago women and girls of the muslim community were thought of as their sisters.. respected, protected, and honored..never disgraced. nowadays some guys gossip about them, use them, then joke about them to they'r friends.

its a question of morals and limits and personalitites. its a shame u see them as for playing and for marriage. wat about the ones that made bad choices and regretted them enough to follow the right path. and wat about the ones that managed to stay 'good' til marriage and then made bad choices? u cant really categorize girls. in oman or out of oman. there are endless possibilities of the things women may or may not do.

every society has its flaws... ours is retarded to treat the genders differently and everyone has to abide by it for their own sakes... extremists make it worse... nothing that goes to the extreme is good...
ours is too extreme in conserving the women... the extreme opposite of conserving is also not recommended which does happen in the west. Why can't anyone be moderate?...
All I could say is raise your children and let them go their own way according to your own teachings no matter what gender they are... if you don't trust that then you don't trust the way you raised them... and what goes for the girl should also go for the boy to avoid discrimination... since that's how I picture it...

i obviously don't agree with this double standard but i also dont like the way some ppl argue it - they say that if guys sleep around and its ok, then girls can too.
it's supposed to be looked at the other way: since girls are not 'allowed' to have premarital sex and all that, guys shouldn't either. RAISE the standards, don't lower them!
Because, almost any girl could sleep with multiple guys easily, it doesnt take anything special from her so nobody is impressed.
Because life is so screwed up.

because a girl has a higher standard in poeple's eyes than boys, girls are like diamonds they should be treated with delicasey cause everyone will try to steal them that's why you keep them for the right person! and once the girl's pride breakes there is no way to fix it! besides it's the woman who gets pregnant not the men!
