Don't you think people that this is one of the disadvantages of a working wife?

Look at that kid how he/she was abused by that Indian (or Syri) maid!

yeah therez a story i remember i saw in the news its about this family and they hired a made to look after there child so the parents noticed that the baby had cuts and bruicez so they put a hidden camera in there kitchen, and then when the parents go out the nanny puts the child on the counter then the child was crying so the nanny got anoyed and took a frying pan and started hitting the baby hardly on the head when the parents got home and saw how EVIL the house made is i think reported her to da police!!

That's cruel! But, in this world, with many demands, the wife has to go out and work to help out with all her family's needs.. I don't think there's a way to solve this problem unless our husbands are paid more!

working moms do not equal abusive maids. dont even link the two. how abusive a person is isnt dependant on how many chances they get to be abusive.
just bcoz a mother works doesnt mean the maid is gona instantly/often be abusive. i hate how women are thought to be unable to handle a job as well as raising a family. women can handle it, they just need to find a balance between the two.
and wifes often dont HAVE to go to work, they WANT to go to work. its not a PROBLEM. its a CHOICE.

merdi di dios! wut the hell! this video reminds me of me when i was a kid, but i made her pay back miskeena

but yeah alotta similar poblems happen in our country, I got a live example in our neighbours, both parents work PLUS both have no personality! If the father tells the maid to do something she starts shouting at him! i dunno what makes him keep her tho :S PLUS that she's known among the hnood in our hood :S
thats baaad...thats very baaaaaad!

I saw another video which was in UAE. I believe this cant be generalized, sometimes the case might happen depending on how the family is treating the maid.

sad really.. it really pains me to see such things as i seen some videos like these years ago on tv5 and other channels thankfully my bro was there to aid me in my crusade of spraying her with bug spray, take off her hijab, pull her hair, throw dirty water and some washing detergent and thats pretty much it.. it was my revenge for 2 things.. her stuffing a fly into my grilled cheese sandwich (i always open my grilled cheese sandwich to throw out the peppers as that's how the ones egypt are made anyway) and for her stealing of my batman action figures and other toys

Ya I think the way the parents treat the house maid is very important. It's a factor which leads to HOW the house maid will treat and take care of the kids.

It's better to avoid hiring maids to take care of the children but only to help around the house in cooking and cleaning, the parents should look after their kids themselves or with the help of their parents or relatives....if worse comes to worse use a maid who is experienced and trusted.

Are there any child care centers there in Oman? The kind where you could drop your kid off when you get to work and pick them up when you drive back home.

Seen a video before with almost the same idea of abuse. This is a major problem that can affect the children for a very long time. People need to be aware of it and becareful for anything abnormal in their kids. And maids need to be aware of the consequences; such getting into court -> jail for such behaviour.

There might be cases here and there. But I believe 1 case of such sensitive issue is already an issue.

Shinoda:I heard of only 1!

.......I find this viseo is so disturbing.....Wallah this is 7aram..........

.....i feel my heart is crying to see a baby crying and been treatd like that.......

....Some house maids, treat the kids in that way as a revenge of what is the Boss is treating them........it does not have to be the Madam of the house to be the one who is treating the house maid bad, but it could be the Boss him self.....

...Just say if the boss was having an affair with his house maid, and she asked him to marry her, and he refused in the account of that he has his wife and his kids, then this house maid can turn crazy, and hurt the kids....

....This house maid in this video seems, that she was paying back some kind of a terible price, but on a poor naive child..........

........sometimes, this is how high price parents could be paying when they miss treat house maids..........Though not always the case.....

..Some families in Oman or even in the GCC, think that by hiring or bring down muslims house maids could be better than non-muslims...........

...........In many situation they could be wrong in their expectations........sometimes you will find the muslims and the non-muslims to be the same when it comes to hurting Kids....or do something bad..........

i know someone who hates praying/fasting (and sometimes dont do it) cuz theyr maid was non-muslim and she raised them on hating prayers and fasting

aside from all that... obviously the parents didn't look close enough to see what kind of maid they had... and I'm assuming the maid would threaten the child not to tell his parents how he's been treated??
I just felt like if I were the mother that maid won't live to see the day :lift:
however, ... I'll go with miss kitten here, one can't say this happens because mothers go to work... there are many other means the children could be taken care of... this was just one option the parents chose and it was simply an unfortunate pick...
you either choose your maids swiftly or take other measures...

wat do u people think of really young (ie. 19 year old) maids? wouldnt it feel akward to hav someone so young do the things a maid would do, in your home?
some say they'r just doing their jobs and they'r working to be paid so age doesnt matter, but i dont really feel comfortable with having a maid who's just a year older than me doing that job. wouldnt u? :os
on another note, young maids most often wouldnt be abusive, and it DoeS depend on how nicely shes treated. if they insult and demean her and order her around 24/7 then the maid is more likely gna turn abusive towards the children and take out her resentment onto the children no matter how young. its appalling that people treat the maids and the help as slaves, which is something islam fought for so many years, and we still see it now..mostly in the 'high' society people that can be very demaning. veryyyyy demanding.

blame the parents for not leading their children in the right way and for not caring to teach their children about the goodness of prayers and being a good muslim. its insanely stupid to hate the maid. wat are the parents doing, letting the non-muslim maid pass on HER beliefs to the kids??! the parents should hav noticed. they should hav had talks abot religion to their children, teach them to pray from a young age. its called CoMMoN SeNSe and GOOD PARENTING. and anyway its never too late for parents to educate the kids about their religion. **better late than never**

I wonder if anyone has videod the widespread sexual and physical abuse of maids by their employers? Not to mention the lack of conditioned working hours or legal redress when they are not paid.

This happened a few years ago but i had a maid about age 20 or so and apparently she had a boyfriend who was age 17. One problem with young maids in egypt is that they always bring their own troubles into our house.. be it relationships and all that.. One night my mom opened the phone at like 2 am or so and found out the maid was talking to her boyfriend.. she told my maid and warned her and all that plus she took away the phone that was connected upstairs.. time passed and the same thing happened, this time my mom lef the phone rather my dad decided to install a recorder on the phone that records pretty much everything.. we then discovered from one of the cassette tapes that her boyfriend comes and sees her once a week at night at like 3 am.. not to mention that in those tapes were quite some nasty stuff (egyptian audio porn at its best im afraid :p)

I myself didn't know of this but the next day I woke up and my dad told me that they caught her boyfriend, the porter and my dad and the driver began senselessly beating him up.. he managed to run away but eventually he managed to not come back again....

until of course fast forward a few weeks later and the maid went missing.. her mother came and was crying and all that asking us she can't find her and all that.. So my dad managed to tell a a friend of his who works at his company to come over at his house, dress up in a suit, and bring with him 2 workers who look like goons or thugs.. apparently he was playing an undercover cop.. i also gave him my pellet gun :p

Eventually they found that the maid and her boyfriend were in his house, they went to the village they were in, and my dad ordered her to get in the car but obviously she refused and did the whole egyptian movie drama (where she refuses and says she loves her boyfriend) so my dad slapped her around a bit and the 2 "thugs" came and they put her in the car and they drove off back in our house..

Her mother was pissed and all and but what pissed her off even more was when my dad showed her the recorded tapes.. obviously the mother was in tears and was already on the verge of disowning her..Finally they came under the conclusion that these couple, as despicable as their story is, should get married. So my dad got a paper, and all the 3 folks signed the paper showing that they're to be "wed" even though i believe it was all an act.. and then we kicked them all out of the house and thankfully that was the last we heard of them..

There are a few more stories of young maids though this was the worst example..

moral of the story is never hire young maids :p

I hope nobody ever beat you up for having a girlfriend. Thanks for making my point though.

MorphaKnight

Dude I don't mind if she had a boyfriend.. the point is, who the hell does she think she is to have her boyfriend to sneak into our house or that she would use the phone without our permission or that she would run away from her parents and that her parents come for us and we have to bear their suffering.. I mean as I said, most young maids in Egypt bring along their problems into our house and its definetly wrong..

If your employee's behaviour is unacceptable, you warn them or fire them. But there is no excuse for assaulting someone, which is after all the point of this thread.

MorphaKnight
22-01-06, 12:24 AM
of course, though it is imperative that employer's warn them about things even on their first day of the job.. Some are strict and some are lenient but sometimes I think employee's deserve what they get..Many of the people in Egypt for example do not have the civility or the respectable etiquette that first class nations have. In a way, they are sly, deviant and hypocrites in many forms and quite sadly, senselessly beating them is without a doubt the most effective way of dealing with them.

Masha Allah... thats something..

i have a friend who sells and installs these hidden cams. he even programs them to be controlled and monitored from the internet.. thats awesome.. if anyone is interested, let me know..

the things what others do behind your back is very bad indeed. i definitely believe in "prevention is better than cure"

Sometimes even older maids do that. The point what scares me is that they may bring a man to the house and in YOUR house there could be other women. We do not know the history of people she is hanging with. The best thing, she does her job from this time to this time and goes home. Does not live in your house.
