This is an information thread more than anything else. It is to provide me and the world with vital statistics about being an expat in Oman.

Basically it is an ad for any foreigner who might be considering international work. Sell your country.

List the working conditions, incentives/entitlements, work availability, relevant websites etc that promote and inform working as an expat in Oman.

For example, what kind of visa is granted to expats? How in demand are they? In what fields? What about the families of expats? What is the cost of schooling, accomodation etc? What about taxes?

Please be as comprehensive as possible!
