The book:
This book contains four sections: Christianity and Islam, The religions beliefs of Islam explained, The religions duties of Islam explained, and Answers to some questions most frequently asked by non-muslims about Islam.
It is well known that religions are often judged unfairly by the limitations and transgrwssions of their most extreme, most ignorant, and most outlandish members.
The author:

She went on to become a wrtier and the Head of Religious Studies at various state shcools until her retirement in 1996. She converted to Islam in 1986 and now lectures and writes on Islam (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=books&field-author-exact=Ruqaiyyah%20Waris%20Maqsood&rank=-relevance%2C%2Bavailability%2C-daterank/102-0182214-4409725) and have many books (http://www.lawteacher.net/muslimteachers/ruqaiyyah/booklist.htm).
