I would say Thank you for all your efforts and Thank you for making us proud citizens ( despite some few un-happy things ) but that’s life you can not please any human. Thank you for our future and May Allah give you the health and strength and long life .

I tell Him no one is perfect and I know he gets news about the ones who do not appreciate all the things they have and what you offered .. I tell him Man you are da best we count all the blessings and we are very VERY thankful.

Living in peace is the best present that He has offered us . Having Health and education is better than any present He has given. Building roads and leading the country with its tradition and civilization is better than any present ... Thank you Thank you Your Majesty Sultan Qaboos ...

Just talking with my husband's mom I can realise how different Oman became because the effort of HM. He had a vision and implemented it ..

Ofcourse we have problems, we would be utopia if we didnt .. but we should also count our blessings and the postives we have here in Oman.

If I would tell him something, I would tell him how much we thank him and appreciate his work .. I would tell him there are more grateful Omanis than the ungrateful ones .. and I would tell him how much I admire and love his dedication to his country!!

Honestly: do you feel any different on National Day?

Yes!! It was always the time when we have to go to school well dressed in Omani clothes. I love watching the mahrajan too. When I was abroad we used to attend the embassy's reception wearing Omani .. so we always had something fun to do in national day :)

Sultan Qaboos Bin Said was born on the 18th of Novenber 1940 in Salalah.

Became the Sultan Of Oman on the 23rd of July 1970 at the age of 29.

So, we r supposed to celebrate National Day on the 23rd of July every year....

....imagine.....in the middle of summer :weep: ,

but God bless him the Sultan decided he wanted the celebrations to be posponed till his B'day, 18th of November of every year, & thats the way its been done since then......I'm glad it's in Nov instead of Jul.

One of the things I look foreward to in Nov are the fireworks, I get my family & friends & reduce our 4X4 tyre pressures & go up the 3orouq. From there u can see everything including th e ones in Seeb if there is a function going on there.... :)

Where can we also go?

Salaam

MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has offered a financial grant to the participants in the grand student pageant which will be held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher on the occasion of the 35th National Day on Sunday.

Yahya bin Saud al Sulaimi, Minister of Education, said that the Royal grant comes at a time when happiness and pride have already filled the hearts of the students as they prepare to take part in the pageant in a manifestation of love and gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan.

The blessed Renaissance, said Al Sulaimi, provided unlimited opportunities of education for all Omanis, males and females alike.

He said that education is offered to all, without exception, in a wide range of institutions which aim at promoting the students' capabilities and enabling them with skills to keep abreast of the age of technology.

Al Sulaimi said he was honoured, and so were the students, teaching and administrative staff at the Ministry of Education, to greet His Majesty the Sultan on the National Day, wishing him good health and happiness.

He reiterated the pledge to continue to upgrade the march of education, deriving insight from the Royal thinking of His Majesty the Sultan. — ONA
