People in the UK! Which mobile companies are the best to use for their deals, contracts, offers? I have been using Vodafone, but I am so sick of it as the bills seem to eating my money away :bomb: !

What do you guys suggest?

I'm on Vodafone, (and most Arabs are actually.) The network "3" has some of the best deals, but their signal could be very poor at some places, and the thing about it is that because most of your friends could be on other networks, it would be quite expensive to call you.

If I were to rank the networks, I would say that O2 is the best, followed to Vodafone, Orange, 3, and then T-Mobile. That's just my personal ranking, without any sort of scientific explainations, and as I said previously, I'm on Vodafone.

well, the network "3" offers 15.99 a month with a new nokia 6680 for free and 500 free minutes a month and 100 free texts a month, the cheapest network for international calls and txts is O2 i have a prepaid O2 and i pay 1 pound per 2 minutes and a half talking to oman, and u also get 300 free msgs a month by topping up 10 pounds a month bas and u get to use your 10 pounds for calls, so its really worth it, plus the txt msg to any international destination costs only 10p which is the cheapest i've ever seen, i've lived here for 2 years now and this is my third, so i've got experience in these stuff lol

certainly O2 is the best i dont like contracts, coz the 1st year i got here i opened a contract with T-Mobile and it was a living hell, i kept getting bills after i have closed the line and paid all my dues, and i paid and paid and paid till it got to a point where i exploded and called them and all they said "sorry sir, it was a mistake" i couldnt do anything as the system refused to show that i have paid it, so they told me to contact them in a week, less than a week later i got a letter from the court, but all i did is i ignored it till it stopped, i dont know is it fraud or a mistake :S so i use only pay as u go now, and i use vodafone, orange and O2 believe me its the best thing to do, see the ppl u call most, what they have and open a prepaid card on that network, its just 5 pounds and the networks i dont use much i bought nokia 1100 for them, which is 19.99 pounds, ya balash :D

vodafone and T-mobile .. the thing with T-mobile is that it doesnt send msgs to oman, it only recieves so i guess vodafone pay as u go is the best
besides, u dont have to use it to call .. go to any supermarket n buy a 10 pounds "unity phonecard" (its kinda like jibreen card here in oman) n use it for calling international or if u want a card for national calls, use another card (ask 4 the cheapest) .. using unity phonecards u can call oman n talk for more than 2 hrs with only 10 pounds.. pretty cheap compared to vodafone bills! but u cant do anythin abt the mssgs.. the unity card is only for calls.. if u dont live in central london, then u wont find unity cards, just ask for the cheapest costs for calls to oman.. (dubai calls r much cheaper so dont c dubai 10 pounds = 800 mins n u buy the card, its not the same as oman :os)

I'm on O2 and I wouldn't switch to anything. I think they have the best offers, you get 300 free local texts if you top up with £10 and 150 free minutes with £15, 300 free mins with £30, plus I signed up for this service where I get to send international text messages for only 10p. Normally international messages are about 25p

I have seen, i will come back with more details about it, as i dont remember, my friend bought one 3 days ago with a pay as you go simcard for £250, which is cheaaaaaaaaap comparing to oman (400 rials it was the last time i checked) but the thing is, he bought it from a person, so if u go to a shop i think it'll bem ore expensive, i'd say around £350, which is still worth it, anyway i will get back to you with the contract details for the 8800,, and ~*SuGaR*~ vodafone sucks, T-Mobile also sucks, the very best is O2 then orange then vodafone.. Thats my own experience
