Its benefits are know. You can read few islamic books to learn the benefits of 3eed. Now this celebration is not 7aram. Its good to celebrate. I did not ask if its good or bad. I asked about its benefits. May I know the benefits of celebrating this and Qaboos' birthday. :) NiGhTFaCe 24-07-05, 11:34 PM May I know the benefits of celebrating this and Qaboos' birthday. :) Who is talking about the Sultan's birthday?!! Its the 23rd of July. By the way, its more to remember the day more than celebrating it ;) TripleTee 24-07-05, 11:46 PM huh?? EQ... The REASON for celebrating Eid is known to me... but the BENEFITS is something else... I'm not mixing anything... we are talking about the party itself are we not?... what's a celebration in the first place when it comes to benefits??? do u follow? ... a celebration is a celebration no matter what the reason is... I guess i wasn't mixing celebrations with eid... more like u were mixing reasons with benefits :os otherwise tell me the benefits... Paradise Babe 25-07-05, 01:31 AM EQ, i dont think ur omani! right? coz if u were u would've known what we were celebrating! talking about benifits u should go and read some more about oman history and know what happend long ago and see the difference between oman now and before! Soulless 25-07-05, 01:32 AM happy birth day .. EarThQuaKe 25-07-05, 02:34 AM EQ, i dont think ur omani! right? coz if u were u would've known what we were celebrating! talking about benifits u should go and read some more about oman history and know what happend long ago and see the difference between oman now and before! I am Omani, but I find these celebrations useless & unbeneficial. I would appreciate it if you teach more about Oman now & then. Thank you. :) NiGhTFaCe 25-07-05, 02:45 AM I am Omani, but I find these celebrations useless & unbeneficial. Okey, we got your point! But, I dont think its the right place to talk about this. Go ahead & start new thread talking about the days which we are not supposed to celebrate! ;) EarThQuaKe 25-07-05, 02:59 AM Okey, we got your point! But, I dont think its the right place to talk about this. Go ahead & start new thread talking about the days which we are not supposed to celebrate! ;) Thanks for the advice. :) I did not discuss the days which you are suppose to celebrate and which are not. Don't divert my questions, please. Thank you once again for the advice. :) NiGhTFaCe 25-07-05, 03:14 AM Thanks for the advice. :) I did not discuss the days which you are suppose to celebrate and which are not. Don't divert my questions, please. Thank you once again for the advice. :) Your question was like a gate to open such discussion. I believe this thread been posted for a purpose, & your question or let me say your opinion was kinda going against it! Most most ;) I guess we will put a full stop for this, right?! EarThQuaKe 25-07-05, 03:26 AM Your question was like a gate to open such discussion. I believe this thread been posted for a purpose, & your question or let me say your opinion was kinda going against it! Most most ;) I guess we will put a full stop for this, right?! I learned that in this forum, people always go off topic so I was going with the flow. anyway, advice accepted. :) I'll let you celebrate the revolution's day in peace. No harm done and thanks for pointing it out. :) Soulless 25-07-05, 08:15 AM People Enough Discussion its just a celebration thread Cheers :bored: Again Mabrook To all Arabian Princess 25-07-05, 08:29 AM EQ, maybe to you it means nothing, but to any Omani who is proud of HM majesty and what he did to the country any celebration like these means alot .. its a way of expressing our gratituide to HM and how he transformed Oman to an advanced country!! EarThQuaKe 25-07-05, 04:58 PM EQ, maybe to you it means nothing, but to any Omani who is proud of HM majesty and what he did to the country any celebration like these means alot .. its a way of expressing our gratituide to HM and how he transformed Oman to an advanced country!! Are you accusing me of anything or not yet. I thought that we are entitled to say whatever we think or is this untrue. :os I don't celebrate the prophet's birthday. So I am not proud of the prophet I don't celebrate the father's birthday. So I am not proud of my father I don't celebrate the mother's birthday. So I am not proud of my mother HELL, I don't celebrate YOUR birthday. So I am not proud of you. I even thought that you are mature. How do you think?! My respect of Qaboos and Oman in particular is shown in how can I benefit Oman in the future. I don't show my gratidude by jumping like a monkey and say how proud I am everywhere I go. I was not raised that way. A person can say whatever s/he wants, but the real respect comes with what you do. Grow up and instead of insulting others, use your head as you are suppose to. One more thing. What is with people and Qaboos transforming Oman. Who from you people lived in both before & after. Why do you keep repeating the same thing over & over & over &....... again. Is it because you have nothing else to be proud of? NiGhTFaCe 25-07-05, 05:06 PM Hello?!!! Werent we already done with this?!! :os People, the guy has his own point, he doesnt want to celebrate it, or to remember it, so leave him alone!! EarThQuaKe 25-07-05, 05:12 PM Hello?!!! Werent we already done with this?!! :os People, the guy has his own point, he doesnt want to celebrate it, or to remember it, so leave him alone!! Thank you NightFace. You are really a person who thinks before he inks. I admit it, I made a mistake of rising this issue in here, but this does not give others the right to insult me. I really appreciate your support by guiding me and I wanted to leave this I said previously, but I cannot stay defenseless when a person insults me. :) I did not say I don't want to celebrate it or remember it. I only asked the benefits of it. NiGhTFaCe 25-07-05, 05:18 PM Alright, no worries! I am sorry if you recieved anything from the other members. Let us just put another full stop, I guess the last one was very small, so nobody noticed! Arabian Princess 25-07-05, 07:46 PM EQ, sorry if what I said seemed insulting I didnt mean it to be this way .. I might have put the wrong wordings but I mean I celebrate it because I am proud of him .. I am not just proud of him because of what he did (though I think its a reason enough, I keep reading his speaches back then in 1970s and I just cant stop my heart from being proud that he acheived what he promised) .. I truly love him from the deepest cell in my heart .. and I want to express that .. unfourtountly I cannot meet him to tell him how much I am proud of him, so saying it here and being happy for such a day is just one way of feeling it. We are all proud of Qaboos. I am very proud of him myself and I'll try my best to show my respect to him, but celebrating is not a thing which I think the right thing for it. I am sorry for doubting you. Next time, I'll try my best to control myself. Its that I hate it when people say I am not patriotic enough. :) One more thing, moderators feel free to delete my posts because they are off topic. Cheers and May allah grant us the best of His Majesty's health and life. |
