I read one of his majesty's old speach .. it was one in August 1970 .. and gosh I wanted to tear.. from his speach you realise that Oman was nothing!! everything was built from scratch and everything needed planning ..

and ill repeat what PB said, may God bless the Sultan and all the wonderful people of Oman :) I was in Nizwa recently, and just seeing the stark contrast between the people in those tiny villages and muscat...wallahi theyre such amazing people, theyre so happy, just so great :) And they have all teh services you would expect: electricity, water, infrastructure, roads, telephone reception, even 2 kilometers up Jabal Akhdar!

Don't mix Eid (3eed) with this. 3eed is an islamic celebration authorised by god. Its benefits are know. You can read few islamic books to learn the benefits of 3eed. Now this celebration is not 7aram. Its good to celebrate. I did not ask if its good or bad. I asked about its benefits. May I know the benefits of celebrating this and Qaboos' birthday. :)

huh?? EQ... The REASON for celebrating Eid is known to me... but the BENEFITS is something else... I'm not mixing anything... we are talking about the party itself are we not?... what's a celebration in the first place when it comes to benefits??? do u follow? ... a celebration is a celebration no matter what the reason is... I guess i wasn't mixing celebrations with eid... more like u were mixing reasons with benefits :os otherwise tell me the benefits...

I even thought that you are mature. How do you think?! My respect of Qaboos and Oman in particular is shown in how can I benefit Oman in the future. I don't show my gratidude by jumping like a monkey and say how proud I am everywhere I go. I was not raised that way.

A person can say whatever s/he wants, but the real respect comes with what you do.

Thank you NightFace. You are really a person who thinks before he inks. I admit it, I made a mistake of rising this issue in here, but this does not give others the right to insult me.

I really appreciate your support by guiding me and I wanted to leave this I said previously, but I cannot stay defenseless when a person insults me. :)

I truly love him from the deepest cell in my heart .. and I want to express that .. unfourtountly I cannot meet him to tell him how much I am proud of him, so saying it here and being happy for such a day is just one way of feeling it.

We are all proud of Qaboos. I am very proud of him myself and I'll try my best to show my respect to him, but celebrating is not a thing which I think the right thing for it.

I am sorry for doubting you. Next time, I'll try my best to control myself. Its that I hate it when people say I am not patriotic enough. :)
