I don’t have Specific Qs in my mind, but I would like to discuss the Taxi service in Oman in general. So share your views, and will see where will go from there

They just drive insane. Never drive behind a taxi, I'm still learning how to drive and just the thought of knwoing there is a Taxi Car infront of me, makes me NERVOUS!!

I don't know much about the taxi thing; I've never gotten in one here. I heard that they are female drivers for female passengers which I think is great.

I've never been on a taxi in Oman but I heard that the drivers charge randomly rather than using a counting machine like other countries do.

the way they drive is really scary and i think most of the accidents are caused from crazy taxi drivers

as for the taxi driviers being crazy thats true but then won't you be crazy to get customers with the money that you make as a taxi driver?

There were news few days ago of having special taxies that deal with tourists only so that they won't compete with the local taxi drivers.

the bus taxis are kool just knock on the side hehe and they'll stop

the car ones are ok

the private ones need to make sure they don't do anything that'll make them compete with the local taxies I remember when they first opened they had lots of problems from the local taxi drivers. Where the local taxi drivers would complain about anything they could so that they can reduce competition

Oh well, the car taxi's are fine but .. slightly expensive..but the Busses? Its like a death ride! But cheap..
