I guess the title is showing ma question? how come we us member cant change our threads title after posting the thread it self! why cant it be changed! and if its posibble Mods we or i can say I till now would like to have this option if we want to change it!

The question is what is the probability of the need to change a title once posted? I would say it's very rare thus it's not really an issue.

And I believe you can change the title immediately after posting the thread, not sure depends on what, like is there a time limit or once it's viewed by members you can't edit it!

It would cause confusion amongst the sabla members , I would think :)

No the case is not confusing members or something! but i was wondering how come i couldnt change a tilte i choosed then i saw a spelling mistake in it or maybe i found another title which will suit it more! or in my case i posted a thread and before any one can see it i changed my mind and i wanted to write another thread insted of it.. so i went and i pressed EDIT on my post then i changed the whole thread but i couldnt change the title! SO i got stuck with the new title! basicly it got me confused cuz it got changed in the thread it self but not in the whole sabla where i posted it! NOW thats confusing ppl! :os

And if you made a mistake you can just PM the mod to do it for you. They are here to serve members also.

As Icey said, there is a time limit. I think its about two minutes; after that you can't change the title. We'd like to keep it that way because if you keep changing the titles of threads then we won't know whats' what anymore. As Empress said; it woudl cause confusion.

You can always PM the moderator of the forum and they'll edit the title for you asap.

It is not a big issue I think, if Moderators response to your request at their earliest.
There are few options that remain with the Admin and his team.
It is also like that.

What if i couldnt find any mod at that time! wouldnt that make a confusion to me and members! why cant you guys give us the athourity to change it .. i mean who would pick a title then change it after 4 days cuz he/she didnt like it! True that would cause confusion but the common sense will be to change it for a good reason! as i said before... Why should i run after Mods to do any thing i want! i want to help my self!

Throughout the day, there is hardly a time when no moderator is online. Someone is always here.

Besides that, the only thing you might want to change would be a spelling mistake. No harm in waiting a bit till it gets done.

well i always cruise round sabla and NOT even a one mod would be round it while im here! so basicly as in my case i got stuck searching for a mod and i couldnt find any! Plus the issue cant wait! its the title its the first image of the thread! Its more importamt then the thread it self! plus all that i dont have time to be here till a mod decides to show up his/her appearence!

No one asked you to wait all day for a moderator, just send a PM and when that mod logs in they'll find it and edit it asap. And as I said before, its not like none of us are here all day long. Every hour at least one of us is online.

Since the title means so much; why not just Preview Post and make sure you got it right before you post it? That would be smarter :)

It could happen one time or twice but not all the time, you just need to review the title before you post next time. ;)

dija, before posting the thread, you got all the way to review, if still you posted with mistakes you still can correct in the time you are allowed to do so. I think its something like 2 or 3 minutes.


Allowing the members to edit their threads after long time from posting them itself is a confusion!

Thats why you see something like a notice if someone edited his/her post.

Anyways, Dija , they system is set this way for a reason , now if every member had the power to edit and change titles of their threads imagine the confusion that might happen when members are looking for a certain thread with was titled something else a month ago , and then later got changed cause that member felt that the thread needed a different name out of the blue.

If we say and explain that it isnt possible for us to enable it ( there isnt even an option to enable it for heavens sake ) then the least you can do is respect our judgment.

If there arent any mods around at that specific moment , then u can just be patient and wait till there will be one , they arent going to be away forever you know.
