What does it mean when someone blinks very often? Does it mean that the eyes are dry?

I have been blinking a lot the past week and until this day. I was told my eyes are dry and was given natural tears drops. They help me but only temporary and then my eyes gets dry again..

Other than that I suffer from red eyes. Could the reason be dry eyes as well? and is there a tratment or drops for red eyes?

Its often due to dryness or irritabilty of the eyes.
However since you noticed it recently, it could also mean its some kind of allergy that you're suffering from, and this case an anti-histamine would be the best solution. :)

Btw.. didn't it ever occur to you that you could be blinking alot because you feel vain and pretty just like in the animes you watch :p

Thanks Arabian Prince for the reply.. and I did check with a doc two weeks ago and found nothing wrong with my eyes ..

And anime has nothing to do with it as I have been watching it long time back and not just recently like some other ppl.. And yeah.. I am not laughing..

Can a real doc reply this thread please.. Thank you...

u seem to have a problem with those people dear BR... but I find it quite amazing how u jump into conclusions like that... since I can assure u that the people u're talking about have been watchin anime ever since they were 4 years old and like it more than u think... only too bad that them liking one thing won't necessarily make them hate the other... which is a point that hasn't got through ur mind yet as I can see... chill girl... not everyone has ur opinion...

Lets not get into an anime fight in the Health Sabla! :)

BR, you mean she twitches her eye? Mine does that sometimes too.

Okay, now guys can we go back to the main topic and stop the side talk about anime, or take it to the appropriate sabla. Any more off topics shall be deleted! Thank you.

BR, as for your question, it could be that your eyes are dry, I mean with this weather, i wouldn't be surprised, but just in case, I'll try and search a bit, just give me until tomorrow and i'll have an answer for you.:)

Niggy, its like in one second they blink a lot.. and its so irritating.. like when I drive I blink and I just feel like rubbing my eyes all the time.. which is dangerous while driving.

Dr. N tyt and will be waiting for your reply.

What I need to know is is there a stronger mendicine than natural tears that can keep my eyes moist longer time?!!

and yeah I forgot to mention that I did lasik operation 2 years ago but my eyes were dry even before doing it. But they got more dry after the operation.

First I thought its because of being in front of the monitor for a long time as my job requires me to do so. But I do take rest from time to time.. And I am using the natural tears drops three times a day.. And one more thing.. my eyes blink even if I am not in front of the pc or watching TV..

Thank you :) :cute:

Well for some reason all the symptoms so far point to one thing... allergic reactions
But hey, I ain't no doc :D

Well... if they hurt I can give u the perfect medicine for it.... though i dont think they sell it in Oman I can give u the name... since I had an allergic reaction earlier and that just worked perfectly... and imagine since it felt so good on the eye it made me wanna use it again even when my eye was already healed... :os..

TT, I don't think I have allergic reaction, as I said I checked with the doc 2 weeks ago and she find nothing.

they don't hurt but I feel like my eyes are burning and feel them heavy or like someone has put on weight on them.

Thanks for the help AP (male)...

Question: can ku7ul be one of the reasons? although even if I don't wear it they still blink.

SORRY FOR MISSING THIS DISCUSSION..

BR, eye blinking with irritation and redness are good indicators for allergic reaction.. an anti-histamine eye drop would be the drug of choice.. there plenty of types in pharmacies.
