If you have an AT&T USA cell phone, and get it to Oman put ur sim in it it doesnt work..

But can you take it to a shop in Oman that can change the software so that it works here??

Technically, it should be possible. They just have to remove the lock over it. Thats in normal cases. Not sure about your specific case.

And of course as long as the mobile you trying to use in Oman from the US has the Oman Band not only specific for the US Band.

Ofcourse that is possible, just be sure the phone does support the mobile networks in Oman.

Check the mobile specifications. Or tell us which brand and model it is. So we can check it out.

I meant to be sure that the phone does support the network GSM something, I dont really remember the exact number used here in Oman.
