Do you know ju jitsu?... well...:D I found this very interesting so I thought of sharing it with you guys...

What is ju jitsu?
"By any means necessary" could be the way of summing up the basic philosophy of ju jitsu. If we add "by the minimum possible force" to the statement, then we are approaching the rationale behind the style. The ju jitsu style is both efficient and dangerous.
Ju Jitsu literally translates to "the art of softness", do not be deceived by this definition. The "softness" referred to here is concerning the need for the Ju Jitsu student to stay relaxed and in control.
Traditional ju jitsu contains many techniques that could easily cause fatal or serious injury if used in the wrong way. With such an array of techniques at their disposal it is important for the student to understand a strict code of discipline. The name of this code is Bushido (The way of the warrior).
This code must influence the student's daily life, as well as their combat skills. Otherwise there would be a serious risk that unsuitable people could be taught some very dangerous techniques.

this caught my eyes big time!... in relation to my previous thread... here the technique itself is what's fatal and not the strength... and what's more interesting:

History of ju jitsu
Ju Jitsu is one of the oldest of the Japanese martial arts. It could indeed be argued that all Japanese martial arts have at least some of their roots in Ju Jitsu. This helps to explain why it covers such a wide range of techniques. Strikes, joint locks and throws are all used in Ju Jitsu.

Well...I got some cool techniques written here which I will post later on... what do u make of it? :hyper: ... I think it's quite an interesting martial art to study..... :hmm:

Alright!! Here goes:... Technique 1.... Break falls
hmmm....One aspect that Ju Jitsu shares with Judo is the practice of break falls. Both systems use the same type of break falls. Some variations may occur between different associations, but the important thing to remember is how to perform the technique.
We can therefore state that for the purpose of the beginner, the break falls in Judo and Ju Jitsu are interchangeable. When you become more advanced, the only real difference is concerned with how u come out of the break fall in a way that sets u up for the next move.
I will consider the side break fall and the back break fall in this post.... remember that if u practice break falls u should have a mat under u to prevent injury.

Side break fall
1. Begin in a crouching position and stretch both arms in front of you. (When you have become competent in the side break fall from this squatting position, then u can gradually increase the height that u practice from. Practice on both sides especially on the side u find more difficult.)
2. While on that position... overbalance to the left and slap the mat with your left forearm. This slap will take some of the kinetic energy out of the fall. Keep ur body relaxed, it's less likely to sustain damage than when it is tense.
The right knee should lift for protection and your right hand should be ready to counterattack or guard your head.
3.Once u're down u're not out! Counterattack by aiming a Karate-style kick to ur opponent's knee.

(that's about it for this technique ;))........next.......

Back break fall
(same thing... except backwards)
Apart from the side break fall... here u should start with a low crouching position and gradually increase to a standing one as u become more confident.

1. Begin with a crouching position and stretch both arms in front of u.
2. Roll back along the curve of ur spine. U should tuck ur chin to ur chest and curve ur back to make a circular shape that won't need to absorb any impact.
As u land u should slap both of ur forearms on the mat to absorb the impact of the fall. Finish with both feet on the mat.
3. :os A good counter attack from this position is to place a front snap kick to ur imaginary opponent's groin. That should make them think twice, imaginary or not!........

(mind u... many techniques here have to do with hitting the groin which is why I think many attacks would be deadly especially if the victim was a man :os... that's one advantage for u girls.)

HEYYY :duh:

The groin is off boundaries all the time, and it shall stay that way by any means necessary! :lift:

Guys, c'mon I'm gonna need your help on this

LOL... cool it AP, I'm not the one who wrote these techniques... it's a person called Ray Pawlett.... who seems to be a man himself... those are techniques for both men and women to use... it could serve U well if ur opponent was a guy... if not, it's still effective... plus... hmm... I'm afraid nothin's off boundaries when it comes to fighting someone who plans to strangle u... only in training... but in real life I barely think one would care... would u?... well... other techniques may be better :D

"I'm afraid nothin's off boundaries when it comes to fighting someone who plans to strangle u"
Well ofcourse its not a problem.. I was just being instinctively me! :D

LOL... very well... accept the challenge then :D... here comes the next technique:
Wrist lock ...
(in my opinion a very powerful technique)
1. Your opponent has tried to grab u with his right hand, this technique is also ideal to deal with other techniques have to do with the hand, such as punches or a push.
2. Use ur left hand to grab ur opponent's right hand using and overhand grip.
3. Turn ur partner's wrist until their hand faces them. Bring ur right hand in to strengthen the grip. Ur partner is now entirely at ur mercy.
4. Finish them off by applying force to the wrist joint so that they're forced down to their knees.

Here goes another technique
Ankle Throw
A part of the Bushido way is never to give up. Just because u're on the floor does not mean u're beaten. This throw is a technique that demonstrates how dangerous u can be, even after u've lost ur balance.
1.u're on the floor and ur partner is standing... hook ur left foot behind their left shin!!
2.Thrust ur right foot at ur opponent's knee. Use a side kick to hit it... this will make him trip over ur foot.
3.Show them to think twice the next time by delivering a snap kick to the groin.

hmm... sheesh kabab... I guess people should think twice before challenging a Ju Jitsu fighter :p :D

Next, Next... pfff.... this seems to be more like a viewing thread... :hmm: oh well... here goes:

Escape from a ground strangle
1.your opponent is trying to strangle you frome behind while you are prone.
2.Grab both of their ears. This should make him start releasing his hold.
3.Pull their ears down as u bring ur knee into their face. That should do the trick!

Escape from front strangle
1. ur opponent grabs u along the neck to attempt a stranglehold
2. Swing ur hips away from ur attacker. Use this movement to drive ur right forearm across u in a swinging style (which will break ur opponent's hold on u). continue the momentum of the swing so that ur fist comes near to ur ear.
3. Strike ur opponent with a back fist strike. U should aim to strike at his jaw.

Straight armlock
1. Your opponent tries to punch u in the stomach. Block downwards with ur left hand.
2.Grab ur opponent's punching hand with ur right hand (secure it under ur left armpit) raise ur left hand over their elbow.
3.keep hold of their hand and swivel around so that u're facing the same direction as ur opponent. Simultaneously drop ur left arm.
4.Hook ur left arm under ur opponent's elbow and lift it. Press down on their extended hand to engage the lock fully. Ofcourse they would have their other hand free but they would be too concerned about their locked arm to even think of using the other :hmm:

[B]Shoulder lock[B]
1.ur opponent is trying to attack u with a punch to ur stomach with their right hand. Use a downward block to remove the threat of the punch.
2.Move ur opponent's right arm in a circle to their back. Place ur right hand on ur opponent's shoulder.
3.Trap ur opponent's arm against ur left shoulder and press down on their shoulder with both hands. This will fully engage ur opponent in a shoulder lock.
4.Finish ur opponent with a swift front snap kick to their face. This will certainly render him harmless.

Well what I can see from joint locks is that u could actually easily break the joints once it's under ur control. :os :os :os scary ha?!!!

hey guys!!.... that's about it for my part... I'm done!!....I hope u learnt something out of these techniques :p... be good now... remember discipline is the most important... if anyone has anything else to add then feel free... but I personally think I like this type of martial art... cuz HERE I realize that the techniques require more relaxation and concentration rather than strength and they are extremely effective!!!... so if I master them and am put in a ring with a muscular guy... I guess I'd convert the question now to "what are HIS chances of winning the fight?" :p :p :D.....
